Possibly. I'm sure the schools will discuss it. That is a replica of a US coin. Hardly controversial, especially now that UND has changed names and logos. Personally, I'd rather lose it to NDSU than see it retired. Though, I'm sure they will come up with some sort of dumb POS trophy.

Its not bad trophy, I'm just not a huge fan. As MKSioux stated, its really just about the significance of the win. The trophy becomes cool over times, because of how is signifies the rivalry. Part of why I say, stick with historical significance and continue using The Nickel. Brings some flare back to the rivalry. Those of us who saw the Nickel won will enjoy it (granted my first game watching the rivalry was actually the last one played in 2003). Really can't see an NCAA issue in using The Nickel.

Terrible production by SUU last night. Only time you really got to watch UND was when they went on a run. When the game was back and forth, SUU felt the need to show a replay of every SUU basket immediately after it happened. By the time the replay was over UND had scored and SUU had the ball back. Not a fun way to watch a basketball game. Great ending though. Hope this team can keep it going.

I was immediately pumped about the ESPN coverage. So much more enjoyable to watch through the Roku than through Eversports. Whenever Eversports is good, its good. When it is bad, its awful.

Does it really matter that much? We still play strong schedules, and as long as we continue to compete as we have, we have just as good of a chance to make the playoffs and win a championship. Youngstown didn't get an autobid and they were in the championship game. The goal is to get into the playoffs, even if it doesn't come with a Big Sky Championship banner for 2 years.

NDSU's situation has changed a bit since moving up and basically dominating everyone. Understandable why some people have different views now than when the transition originally took place.

nope, see my previous post. We can win the Big Sky in basketball and football next year. Then we can we can earn an at large in football while trying to win the at large in basketball with the summit.

I believe we can still win the conference and get the auto bid next year, as we will still be full member. In the fall of 2018 we will be an affiliate for football and ineligible to get the auto bid, though if our record is good enough to have earned the autobid, then we wouldn't have an issue receiving an at large.

Agreed, the talent is there, the consistency is what has been missing. I'm sure he'll figure it out. I'm a fan, hope he ends up as a 4 year player.
