Anyone know if the Grady train is picking up steam?
-
I love when this periodically comes up.

Everything I've ever heard was that Ryan would have stayed home if UND had taken Grant, and UND would have had a high chance at Irmen if the Potulny's had come here.
-
Then the team can bus to Bismarck and break out the MotherF#$%ing Nickel!!!

We play at NDSU. Their fans think they are basically Alabama, so maybe whoever is cutting the checks thinks so too?!?!?
-
Psh, we could have hung another 3 in the first. We didn’t because of their goalie. Same reason they didn’t hang more on us, Scheel was a stud and has no business on the bench going forward. He has earned his starting role time and time again. Time that he retains it. Just the better more consistent goalie.

Speed? Coke? Mikes Magic Stuff a la Space Jam!

No, nothing against pat, but I think heinert does an excellent job. Not tough to impress anyone after having to list to the UMD clowns last week though.
-
Thanks, just couldn’t place the voice. Not as much energy as Brandt.

Who is commentating with heinert?

Mandatory ... Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable!

Doesn't really matter at this point. I'm more concerned with that picture in March. We got off to way slower starts under Hak, and were just fine. Not saying I expect a late season run of Hak fashion. I expect a split in Denver and then a solid start to 2019, with getting some guys back. The only game I saw where we were truly terrible was the 2nd W Michigan game. We played well on Friday, just ended up on the wrong side of the score, but were the far better team. Saturday was a mess. Friday against Duluth was bad, yes; but they are a very talented team. And the whole game was not such the breakdown, as was the second period. The team needs to learn to play a full three periods. 8-6-1 is not bad, but leaves room for improvement. 2 wins over top 4 teams, tells me this team has what it needs, but needs to find consistency. A split should be the hope on the road against a good Denver team, but if you can somehow steal a sweep, a lot of people will be singing a different tune. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fully sold on Berry yet, and we will see how he gets his team to respond in the 2nd half of the season, but I'm not quitting on this team at the beginning of December with a winning record.

I maintain that the play by play guy was not great but far better than the color guy. At times he almost seemed embarrassed and tried to compensate for the color guy. Pretty rough production though.
-
My Gosh, Berry is the best coach in UND history! in all seriousness, we had one bad period this weekend, but it was terrible. overall the split is good and hopefully it tuned the boys up for Denver. If you can split against DU or somehow steal a sweep, we are in a much different place.
-
How bad is this PP? Seriously! Haven’t had a decent PP forever!
-
Up by a goal after one, can we extend Berry’s contract before the second period starts? Jk
-
Wow, that one was for Prpich!
-
I don’t think anyone is saying he would. The question is what would it take ... if anything.
-
I will say this, if we salvage a win tomorrow, and a split next weekend, a lot of this speculation will be for nothing.

Does anyone know what the UND vs UMD salaries are?
-
FRIENDS is far above mediocre! and how dare you suggest otherwise. In fact, FRIENDS would have beat this team tonight. Thank goodness for Hulu and whiskey, or tonight would have really sucked.
-
I maintain Bubba is making all of his staffing changes a year too late. I would have supported all of his changes a year ago. He stuck by his guys, and should have went with them. That being said, I'm excited to see what Freund can do with the tools that he has on roster.

It would be interesting for sure. I could care less that he played for MN ... so did Deano. I just want to win ... unless it means hiring Lucia ... then I'm good with losing.
