Two things regarding the 1883 collective that need to be addressed: First...It is an absolute administrative embarrassment and disgrace that UND is charging the 1883 Collective 25k a year to basically raise money for UND athletics only because they are doing it in the name of the University. Armacost, Chaves and whomever else need to be held accountable for this. It's unnecessary overhead that needs to be resolved to be more financially efficient. If anybody wants to b*tch about something important....this is it. Calls and emails. This is unacceptable. Second ...rent for the 1883 collective unit in Memorial Village. $1600 a month. Do the math. That's money that could be spent on athletes. Hoping the building owners can help out with that and do better for the cause.

I do not. However I have deduced from the Internet and believe there's a Nebraska HS kid in this week for a visit with an imminent decision looming. We shall see what happens.

I believe his mother has UND ties? Grandpa is an ndsu guy I'm told from my Casselton contacts.

Not all do. That's what I'm talking about. Solid character kid.

I'll never tell. No seriously...I'm just speaking generally and generically about the program's trajectory and expectations overall moving forward. He was hired 4 months ago. And all signs are pointing towards him getting the most important recruit from ndsu's backyard within that timeframe. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm impressed so far. Also excited to see what everything looks like in 2 years after some time to get everything going.

Casselton kid is of high quality character. He's communicating with all other parties first before announcing officially. This is a 'UND guy'. "On your mark..."

My best guess is we'll officially know something this evening on the casselton kid.

Schmidty pulling the top kid in ND and one of the top kids overall in the class from ndsu's backyard would only be the tip of the iceberg. Expect more of this. We are going hard after Buhr. He's already been to sdsu recently and is off to Central Michigan for a visit apparently. He would be 'yuge' as well. 'Bigly'

Can't wait for Bison Dunce or Simple Dan or whatever his name is to respond. It's like chumming for sharks.

Commitments in March and early April. Maybe someone can tell us who was the earliest commitment prior to this in years past. They're identifying who they like early and offering before camp season. And actually getting them to commit. We'll see how it works out. All I know is that Polasek is losing his mind and berating recruits for committing to us so early and before camp evaluations. A certain parent of a certain recruit was not impressed with Polasek's response and lack of professionalism. So I'd say what we're doing is paying dividends in the short term. As I said, we'll have to wait and see about the long term. But I'm f**king here for all of it.
