What are you babbling about anyway? If you took the time to read through that site you'd plainly see that it's a call to our government to enforce our immigration laws. There's nothing racist about demanding that our federal gov't clamp down on illegal immigration.

Are you of Native American heritage? I assume you're not or you would have already made this known in your argument against the Sioux name. So then why are you so offended? Are you so empathic towards another people that the use of this name keeps you awake at night & is affecting your ability to function or do you just like to argue for the sake of arguing? If you really want to make a difference in the lives of Native Americans, why don't you donate some time or money to a worthwhile cause of theirs or become a Big Brother to a fatherless boy instead of ranting about inconsequential trivialities like changing a name? Direct your energy towards something productive & get off the PC bandwagon whose main members are just disgruntled white liberal limp-wrists...

I think the double standard argument would apply to an apples/apples situation: such as, we can tell you that your goalie sucks but don't dare say anything about our beloved Brandt. The Mexican fans went outside the realm of sports & chose to cheer for a terrorist who had an indirect hand in the deaths of over 3,000 Americans. I can handle an f-bomb directed at my goalie if he lets in a bad goal but it's a different matter if it's directed at a country that already does so much for them in the first place. Had they decided to just swear at our team's performance & not for a terrorist who has wreaked havoc on this country this thread wouldn't even exist. I'm not saying that I condone expletives at sporting events because I don't. However, I think a distinction needs to be drawn here between the nature of the expletives.

Hopefully these reasons were for what he thought was the possible benefit to the team & not personally motivated; especially when it comes to the goalies because I don't understand why Brandt was benched all weekend & I hope there's no friction or animosity between the 2. What's Blais' line-combo strategy? A line goes a period without scoring & should therefore be changed? If my boss shuffled my duties every time I went to work I'd be unproductive, too (ok, I'm unproductive most of the time but I'm trying to make a point here )

Nice summary, jk. I would add to your sentiments the responsibility of the head coach to locate this minor problem & remedy it. Something needs tweaking & that's where Blais enters the picture & works his magic. The only tweaking I noticed this weekend was the benching of Brandt & the rolling of 3 lines on Friday night. We fans have been saying the past 2 weekends were "gut checks" for the team & that's true; but I feel they were also reflections on how coach Blais faced adversity with his team & the results were nothin' to write home about. A team is a reflection of their coach, in part. I have faith in Blais because he's a proven winner, but I'll be looking at what he does the next couple of weeks as much as I look at Sioux wins or losses & individual performances. In Blais we Trust...
