  1. Yup. You can't coach finishing. The boys are missing the net and going for the pass more than the shot.
  2. There's another example why we're losing. Martens and Zajac going down into the zone. Martens decides to pass to Zajac, defense blocks pass. Now, Martens should have realized that we are DOWN A GOAL. That means you SHOOT THE PUCK!
  3. Angelow scores. MTU 1-0 lead. They obviously want to win this game.
  4. 23 SOG combined. I think we found why it is scoreless. We should have 23 shots ourselves. MTU is getting the better chances too.
  5. Seriously, Trupp did the right thing. We just need to stop trying anything and just shoot.
  6. Get used to Childress and TJack. They'll both be back and TJack WILL be the opening day starter next season.
  7. Watkins runs the goaltender. Thank god we're shorthanded. Our pp was a disaster. We need to just shoot the puck
  8. Thank god for this second penalty on MTU. I'm not sure Nolan had to make a save.
  9. DING! You are correct! It's unfortunate that someone has to make the playoffs from the NFC North and the NFC West. Unfortunately, the Bears are going to lose to the Vikings-esque Texans. The Packers might give the Lions their first win of the season too. Let's Go Sioux!
  10. Oh I agree completely. He sucks so badly he's only 3rd in the team in scoring. I mean, does he suck or what? Nice to know that you have to be in the top 2 players in order to not suck. Funny... the only two players who don't suck are Chay Genoway and Brad Miller. Nice. Too bad on our loss. Certainly a disappointing result. I told you that Lerg was the key. We couldn't beat him and we let him get under our skin. Oh well. So this isn't going to be a fun ride. It happens.
  11. Does Tampa Bay pay for the wear and tear on his suitcases? How about his hotel rooms and airfare?
  12. Will he even get game time?
  13. Didn't seem to stop certain undersized goaltenders we've had in the past. The key is beating their D. MSU has left Lerg high and dry countless times this season. IF we can do that a lot, while limiting the number of times we do it to Eidsness, we'll come out on top. Theoretically. We won't know for sure until the game is over.
  14. He'll be back in the AHL in time for New Years.
  15. He's really the only player on the team that has consistently played well this year. He'll be tough. Good thing he has very little D in front of him and even less O to support him.
  16. Right. He had them on because they are billed as top first round picks.
  17. Will the airing of grievances be posted on the board for all to see and contribute or is this to be a private affair?
  18. I don't like Don Cherry. Don Cherry would like to see the NHL go more to a system similar to MJ. 90% Canadians and 10% Imports. And you can forget about college hockey. I doubt Cherry can even name a single current NCAA player, NHL draftee or otherwise. On the flip side, I think Russia agrees with Don Cherry as well. After all, they did form the (now-floundering) KHL. If they were truly serious about stopping the NHL from taking Europeans (and Russians) over to North America, the Russians would try to seriously start an international professional hockey league and woo such countries as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany into joining.
  19. Yeah... caffeine....right... I think the wife wanted to get rid of the last of the spiced eggnog...
  20. The same back to you! Well, our goaltending is already floundering. Good thing we have goal scorers... How's that area going for the Wild? Oh...sorry.
  21. I think there is a very complex dynamic with Canadian sports fans. In some ways, I think Canada vs. US is a lot like UND vs. UMN in hockey or tOSU vs. Michigan in football. Canadians view hockey as "their" sport (which technically it is). Therefore, it's altogether likely that Canada would root against the US. Also take into the effect of hockey as a sport globally. In Canada and Eastern Europe, hockey is a big time sport. In the US, it's still considered a "major" sport, but we're putting more publicity as a country's media behind more popular sports such as football and baseball, games such as poker, and even basketball gets more publicity on the sports networks. This gives the US a lackadaisical reputation with regards to hockey. We can be dominant powerhouses and I'm still sure we'd be scoffed at by Canadian hockey fans. Also, if Latvia is involved, here's a random factoid: One of the largest (if not THE largest) foreign population in the country of Latvia are Canadians. I can't tell you why this is, but when my brother went to Riga (the capitol of Latvia) Canadians were all over the place. A great deal of them are, of all things, restaurant owners/operators.
  22. Your spelling is kinda ugly too.
  23. Me? Wow! Thanks! Same to you!
  24. Gopherguy33 and the biggest closet Sioux fans of all: sagard and Greyeagle (Yeah, I know you're lurking around GE! Fess up like sagard already has!)
  25. Then Della might want to take note of Downie. The analysts had Downie pegged to make the Philly roster before "the hit" on who was it... McAmmond? Since then, he's been traded and hasn't stuck in the NHL yet. Not saying he won't, but so far, that type of player hasn't done well as of late... Another example is Hollweg of the Maple Leafs, though he may be sticking around for longer than Downie.
