LOL. TH calls the Fargo USHL team the "Farce." I know it was a mistake, but it is certainly funny. On a satirical note.... I think Fargo should change their name. Force is a scientific terminology, not a play that utilizes satire and irony Congrats Bradford on the trophy with the kiss of professional death. He might end up a Viking anyways.

5 on 3. We need to score bad now.

Miller brings a lot, but when he tries to dangle and get cute, he makes big mistakes. He made one and Novak made him pay.

We're on pace for UND winning 16-15
-
Well, that was quick.

Nice job by Kozek too! Surely one of his...5 assists for the year.

Not a former collegian however, this is a pretty good goal. Johan Franzen

Watched that game. In the span of two days, two games featured collosal collapses. Carolina collapsed and lost on the 11th. New Jersey collapsed and squeaked out a win last night.

I'm wishing Joe the best. He's great.

I watched the highlights of yesterday's game vs. New York. I think Parise belongs. I also think New Jersey has no chance without Brodeur. They'll have a nice year, but won't get to the promised land. Seriously... that was a MAJOR LEAGUE collapse. Can't believe that NJ actually won.

Sometimes I am just amazed that a guy of JT's or Zach Parise's caliber played for UND.

A nice story from a franchise whom, though I love most of their players (Huet excluded), I still have a huge bone to pick. If you live in Canada and get the NHL Network, you will see a good % of Blackhawk games. If you live in the US, you MIGHT get to see the game at Wrigley but otherwise, that's it without buying NHL Center Ice. Every team has its issues with attendance and money, but not every team will intentionally black out their games because they refuse to televise games to a wide population until the narrow population fills the seats. I'd go to Hawks games if I lived in Chicago. However, I don't. But that's the reason I was told that the Blackhawks are rarely televised. It pisses me off. It is why I root for Toews, Kane, Sharp (especially now that Sharp escaped Philly), and company, I'll never really like them (as much as a Detroit fan can like the Hawks) until they stop screwing over their own fans.

I agree. I'll be happy with a split. I think SCSU is a lot like UND early on this season. Both are having struggles in one particular aspect of the game. SCSU seems to be playing well right now. UND played well on Fridays, but on Saturdays, they barely scratch out wins or lose outright. Until proven otherwise, I think SCSU takes Saturday and UND takes Friday.

I agree. And if Ryan Sofie or Renfranz or Walski felt he wasn't getting a fair shake, he could have transferred like Siembida. Siembida went on to play at Quinnipiac and found out that even there, he's only good enough for spot play. DaveK brings an irrational fanship to players that often don't get fans. I can respect that, even if it grinds the ole gears. Walski has surpassed EVERYONE'S expectations in his 4 years with UND. I mean, someone on here tell me that, when Walski committed to UND they said "Walski is going to out play Brandt, JPL, and JPar and end up the backup his senior year with a few games under his belt too!" I never expected Walski to play in games that counted...ever. Instead, he has. He still has opportunity to play here and there, but BE simply is better. AND BE will become a great college goaltender because of what Walski brings to the team, even if it isn't in a game.

Don't worry. ESPN and the NFL Network are falling all over themselves to apologize for the Jets loss. Heh. Aaron Rodgers may not be proud of this season, but he can turn to the media and say "Hey, at least I'm no Alex Smith. I can't imagine being as goo..I mean...in his shoes." As for the Goehring article: HEY! He grew an inch!

I wonder if the whole Steve Johnson thing isn't entering into the whole deal. I believe that Steve Johnson would be a great addition to the UND Coaching staff, but it wasn't to be just yet. Who knows what the future holds, but I think Idalski has done just fine so far.

I'm going to pull a John Kerry here and say "Whoa, there." Now, I'm all for BE over Walski, but we shouldn't waste time with putting down Walski either. No, I don't think Walski will be seeing much action this year either, but who can really put down what he's accomplished while at UND? No, he won't set any records or appear much in the record book even as an after thought. However, he was never much of a prized recruit. My memory is failing me, but I believe he was a recruited walk on. That being said, going from third string walk on practice goaltender to serious consideration for starting goaltender is a big accomplishment considering the goaltenders Walski "competed" against. BE is our man, but this was basically known since he committed. Walski has done what many have only dreamed of. He was a good High School goaltender that performed adequately but not standing out at the junior level that really didn't get much DI consideration from WCHA teams to my knowledge (this isn't saying Walski wasn't recruited by DI schools or DIII schools, just at the time he was committing, I didn't see many openings for a goaltender that would have put Walski in any better situation than he walked into with UND). He was asked to walk on and got the position of third stringer behind the likes of Brandt, JPL, and JPar. He will end his collegiate career with a degree and a 4 year member of a DI hockey organization known throughout the hockey ranks as a college powerhouse. I think that's something I'd be darn proud of.

Please. You honestly think that there aren't some NA skaters who were hyped and didn't turn out at all like the hype suggest? Federov is extremely talented and still has the skills to play in the NHL despite being what... 60? Kovalev isn't as good as his hype suggests. Neither is Samsonov, though one could argue that he hasn't exactly been in a place where excellence was expected of him. Only lately has Boston pulled their heads out of their tails. Ilya Kovalchuk is a great hockey player who is destined for mediocrity for however long it is he remains with a lackluster team such as Atlanta (or is it Columbus? Who cares, either one it makes no difference). It's not too dissimilar to the situation with Gaborik. He may be a bust due to health concerns, but I can't help but think what his numbers would be like if he were with a team like Pittsburgh or Detroit or San Jose.... A line of Malkin, Crosby, and Kovalchuk/Gaborik....wow. Besides, who knows what the NHL would be like for Goren, Panzer, Bayda, etc. if there were no Russians... Those vacated spots could end up filled by MJ players. You never know.

I'm not that extreme. I think what we saw with Malkin and AO in Grand Forks and etc. was a side effect of the old time Russian Olympic and other international team mentality. They are trained (not taught) to think they are superior to the Western capitalist pigdogs, as it may. They buy into the hype and they don't care if everyone else learns about it. Sportsmanship is a WESTERN concept that only some European nations buy into. The Russians have NEVER truly bought into it. It's gotten somewhat better over time, but it is still there. I don't know. I'm no fan of Team Russia, but I can't imagine what the NHL would have been like without Sergei Federov, Alexander Mogilny, Evgeni Nabokov, Igor Larionov, etc.
