I wonder who is officiating tonight? I'm watching the Saturday UAA vs MSUM game right now (I timed it so that it will end very close to game time) and I notice that Campion isn't all that bad so far. I don't think Campion will be our official, but I guess he had a good game that day.

Uh, if there is a link, I'd also have to assume its the link formed by two people with deep seeded hatred for each others' personal beliefs. LaPointe (aka GrahamKracker) was as anti-nickname as anyone ever. Peltier may not have been as vocal as LaPointe but he was for the nickname. I doubt they'd be friends, unless LaPointe is all talk. I mean, it would be like George W. Bush and Nancy Pelosi saying they are close friends and meet regularly to discuss the latest book in Oprah's Book Club. Of course, undsportsfan, there is one difference: LaPointe quit UND. Peltier resigned his post. He did not leave UND.

Sorry, but how many UNDIA members are hailing Peltier's resignation as a "victory" for their cause? I'm sorry, the guy was pushed to resign because he supported the nickname. Isn't that hostile and abusive? I guess GrahamKracker was right! If you are Native American and support the nickname, you're obviously not Native American enough! The only "real" Native Americans are against the nickname. I guess I'm saddened that GK may actually be right about something.

I liked the sarcasm, but I think you posted it too late. You should have posted it when we got committments from Kristo and/or Cichy because we got USA Hockey committments before we got a USHL one (if you don't count Marto or LaPoint).

Bruneteau also provides "insurance" in case we lose a recruiting battle. Some have said that Nash is highly likely to go to Cornell. I don't want to lose Nash to Cornell, but if we do, we're not going to have a serious dump in recruiting depth ala Michigan when they lost Trevor Lewis.

I don't have high hopes for Grieco getting drafted. This isn't saying that he won't be or that I don't want him to be drafted, I just think that a good percentage of goaltenders aren't drafted because of how long they usually take to develop. That being said, if Grieco is to be drafted, I'd predict he'd be a 6th or 7th round pick... by New Jersey

There are a TON of players I'd love to see in a UND jersey, but we can't recruit all of them. Bruneteau (who is 3-4-7 so far, like Malone) Nash (who has scored 10-17-27 thus far) Lamoureux (who is scoring a modest 4-6-10) Gregoire (who is scoring 2-6-8) Zajac (5-7-12 on the season thus far) Murray Toews (Ok, he's a 2008 recruit, sure) Blood We can't possibly get all of these guys. We don't have the room, do we?

They named the associate head coach to the position of interim head coach. I don't know if Blais will get a shot at the head coach position but who knows. I just hope he's successful regardless of what happens.
