  1. Did someone say, the TODD Line? Scoring High Five!
  2. I don't know.. Right now, I'd say SCSU is playing its best hockey. UND is slipping a little. Regarding the NCAA lead in goals... Gosh, I wonder what the DOT line's point totals would be if UND was in the CHA or AHA? Forgot something: franchise- Sorry to hear that. Those fans have it completely wrong. Woog may be a homer, but at least he knows hockey. Masucko is the one worthy of the disgust.
  3. Congrats to Herbal!
  4. I'm sure of that. Didn't watch the game tonight. Was at a friend's house watching Fargo South suck it up against Red River. Wish I had watched the Sioux game. What an awful performance by South. Anyways....
  5. Fixed your post. Remember: It doesn't matter what anyone else on the Defense does, it will always be Lee's fault now that Finley is playing better.
  6. Curious as to the number of players brought with. Martens and Grieco stayed home. Doesn't that mean that UND could have brought BOTH Foyt and Forney with? I want Forney to play tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Foyt.
  7. As stated earlier, it's a good thing Chicago wasn't in need of scoring forwards.
  8. I agree with you. Some things TH mentioned is that UND seemed to slow down at the DU blueline and that made things easier for DU. Defensively last night, we didn't play too terribly. We got burned 3 times on risks when players fell down but they only converted on one of them. Lee is capable of making those crisp outlet passes and I believe Chorney is too. Chorney also showed he can keep control of the puck when he isn't falling down. Lee nearly sprung Oshie (I believe) on a crisp pass but it was just out of reach of Oshie. Since I listened to the radio, I couldn't tell if Oshie slowed down or the aim was off or it got tipped slightly. We whiffed A LOT during the second and third periods, sometimes when we were on one of our few odd man rushes. And our OT performance last night was just plain abysmal. To be honest, I don't think our OT performances this year have been all that good. Only DU has been able to capitalize on it though.
  9. Know how my post looked and that's not what I was condoning. I think it was good that Stafford stuck up for his teammate (in an instance where fighting was warranted and it happened to be done but it was done by a guy who, regardless of fighting skill, is worth more to the team than just fighting). Where I draw the line was that Biron and Emery shouldn't have fought. Emery wanted to fight and Biron dumbly obliged. Biron got his butt handed to him and then Peters comes in to "stick up for his teammate?" Are you kidding me? STick up for what? Biron got owned. End of story. That fight shouldn't have happened (Peters vs Emery) and I don't think there was a solid reason for the goaltenders to fight at all.
  10. tied for 11th with the bonuses? That's amazing to me. With the bonuses, I figured we'd be either 13, 14, or 15th in PWR. I'm taking it that the MSUM and UMD wins helped us. The MTU win helped us standings wise but not TUC wise? I'm probably mixed up so wrong as usual.
  11. Not sure which goal you refer to, but it wasn't the OT winner. Regardless, though, faceoffs lost us the game. Yet Lee gets blamed. It seems like a lot this year, Lee gets blamed for a lot of team mistakes. UND loses faceoff, Lee was closest to guy who scored the winning or tying goal, game ends in tie or loss, people blame Lee. Amazing to me. I think Lee doesn't enter the equation on this loss at all. I think faceoffs do. I think our intensity factors into it in OT. I think our tendency to try to pretty things up in the offensive zone contributed to it. I think our tendency to take stupid penalties tired us out sooner. I think the fact that at many times DU got to play their game style and we couldn't shake it was a contributor. None of this is Lee, unless he was one of those tired from all the PK work.
  12. I hate losing to the Pioneers because right now SCSU is playing great hockey and despite our streak (which ended tonight), we still might not make the NCAAs.
  13. Really? TH said the shot bounced off of two DU players and into the net? I don't know what you expected Lee to do, the shot was off the faceoff. But hey, it makes some feel better to blame Lee, so blame away. But hey, hows Corbin's goal from Viedeman as an answer to "What happens when you just throw the puck at the net?" Again, we got highlight reelers and DU got ugly goals (except for Dingle's). We really need to break things down and just start throwing the puck at the net.
  14. Sure would have been nice to win that faceoff. Maybe tommorrow we'll throw the puck at the net more. The result wasn't all that shocking though. I mean, we got one real chance (Chorney) but otherwise the entire OT was spent in the UND defensive zone.
  15. DU wins.
  16. We can't get into DU's zone. Not looking good.
  17. It's ok. I'm used to it.
  18. OT
  19. Pivotal 2.5 min to go.
  20. Oshie rang the post.
  21. I have a feeling that the next goal wins it, despite 7.5 minutes left.
  22. Radke and Handza for unsportsmanlike.
  23. Well... Phil saves our bacon.
  24. DU 3-3
  25. Yeah, but they are 1 for 1 on that shot, so we need to shoot and we'll score. Seriously, if our PP is "so good" why can't we get shots off? We need at least 1 maybe 2 goals to win this game. I don't think DU will stick at 2 goals. We need to shoot more. Period.
