Listened to the press conference yesterday. You will all be happy to know that UND prepared really well and played hard and Bubba was proud of the way they battled.

That would be incorrect. Danny wanted his shot at the job this past winter, then the job became "unavailable" when many thought it was going to be "available".

Let’s be real, nobody counted that spring season except Sam Houston and Bubba supporters. This stinks. So much time spent in angst. Wish it had just been taken care of last winter naturally.

Adding a new strength coach seems a bit light. My biggest fear was losing this fall and being stuck. Here we are.

There were two years left. We have covered this. Win and you get your extension. Lose and we need to move on. Its been 11 years.

If you have been following along at all you would know we are all questioning why they EXTENDED him last spring, when they just flamed out in playoffs yet again and he is 62. Now we know why. Because you cannot extend him now after going 5-7. So Chaves took the path of least resistance like usual.

Your question would not be posed obviously. It would be more like: “are we really going to extend a 62 year old who has never won a playoff game in 10 season?”
