Great video on Tyler Kleven.  It is not what I expected just reading the title.  Nice piece on Tyler Kleven…

Belleville and Toronto had a interesting game tonight. Toronto won 8-0 to end Belleville's 7 game winning streak. Their was a combined 159 penalty minutes in the game and Tyler Kleven accumulated....checks stats, zero penalty minutes.

    AD doesn't set the lineup.

They concentrate on getting a few coaches from the main seasons in progress (hockey and WBB this week) and sprinkle in minor sport coaches to fill it.

Bubba will likely speak after the next signing day.

Had fan luncheon at Suite Shots in Fargo on Tuesday.

Had Sather, Vahrenkamp, Boysen, and Goehring.

From what I’ve heard he told them when he was drafted he didn’t want to play for the Flyers.

Not what I have heard. They contacted him before drafting him and he indicated he was excited to be a Flyer. Later says in interview that with his style of play he was born to be a Flyer.

I think he expected to sign after his freshmen season and when he found out that wasn't the plan he skipped the prospect camp and hasn't spoken to or communicated directly with Philly for at least 3 months.

In viewing their board it sounds like an internal hire

If I had to guess, they would be promoting their Running Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach which would leave an opening for an offensive line coach.

This team has no clue about defensive hustle and rebounding.

    Simple game.

Take care of the ball when you have it.

Get the ball when you don't.

75% of defensive rebounds is a low end goal to be a good college team. Technique and effort and working as a team. Very little skill required.

58% yesterday and 20 turnovers. That is 29 free possessions given away.

    50% against St. Thomas.

New head coach is from Oregon St. They came to MSU as a package deal.

And the top 3 QB's who were at Sparty all hit the portal so the only QB left is a towel waving good grades getting walk on.  Good role for Schuster.

  7. If UND can get another W tomorrow night I would expect Berry to get emails of thanks from Coaches at Maine, BU, BC, Denver, Quinnipiac, Wisconsin and any other potential #1 seeds come tournament time because that team is a potential nightmare in a 1 and done format.

Not sure if it was the same drive, but with 10 mins left in the 4th up 11, Washington passed 3 straight downs then punted.  I mean I'll give you third down, but not all 3 downs.

yes. this is the drive I didn't like.

Did not watch the game but the fourth quarter PxP says UW did what they should've (starting at 1:09 remaining) for the most part regarding time; it's just that Texas had TOs to burn on first and second down.

    The bigger issues:
    - the UW injury on third would stop the clock (that's a free TO for Texas) <- that play was run to get first down and end the game; you may argue knee but knee guarantees having to punt where a first down as I said ...
    - a false start on fourth stops the clock again after the injury
    - a kick catch interference penalty giving Texas 15 free yards (16 to 31).

    https://gohuskies.com/sports/football/stats/2023/texas/boxscore/23328

You can't clock manage injuries or silly penalties; you can only manage around them when they happen.

Show me in that DeBoer's clock management mistake.

As someone who had a vested interest in the game staying under 68 points(still cashed, but not as much as I could have), this was the drive I didn"t like. Up 34-21 and after the Texas fumble with about 12 minutes left in the game and after the Texas defense had been on the field for almost the entire 3rd quarter(they were gassed). After the deep shot and pass interference I was thinking they should stick with their short passing game and run the ball a bit and grind some clock and get 3 or 7 points on that drive to go up 16 or 20 and probably be able to run the clock down to about 4-5 minutes. Instead they ran a "Danny" special and got behind the sticks and then tried to pick it all up on 2nd down and Texas to their credit sent pressure on 2nd and 3rd.

As much as FSU fans want to say they played without 14 starters from the ACC Championship game. The committee got it right, you get rolled by 60 by Georga who played everyone.

With how players opt out of bowl games they should just get rid of them and just go with a playoff of more than 12 teams.

And shouldn't the transfer portal open after the season.

    Agreed.

They were under consideration for the final 4 spots due to the current dynamics. They were an undefeated champion of a P5 conference(5th best conference by the way). Fair or not, Georgia, Oregon, and Ohio State lost what were in effect de facto playoff games which kept them from the playoff mix.

If they had started the 12 team playoff this season, Florida State would have obviously made the playoffs but they would have likely been the 8 seed at best as Oregon, Ohio State, and Georgia would have all been ahead of them as they would all have been double figure favorites against them.

With the failure of Berry and Co. to right our obvious weaknesses going back as least as far as last year it makes you wonder.  How in the hell are Colorado College and the 18 and under team better than us 3 on 3?

Not sure about CC, but I would expect the USA 18 team to be better than every college team in the country 3 on 3, at least after the first shift as they have more high end skilled players.

Kind of a random question, but with the U-18 team coming to GF and WJC going on, I began to wonder about how common (or rare) is it for an individual to be on one of rosters but not the other?  For instance, how many players on the current USA WJC roster were on the USA U-18 roster 1-2 years ago?
