If Knuth is signing at UND that’s an important piece of news. Lots of things lining up here including yesterday’s tail number.
Is Knuth considered a better prospect than Higgins though? Higgins looks pretty electric and decisive!

Why is it too soon? If this would have happened last year, I think he’d be our head coach right now. I don’t think he will be the guy now but I do think that will be a mistake. I know he only has one year outside of UND so it goes against the outsider want. Idk if I was the AD I’d hitch my name to his. Think he’s going to be a star.
Never big on Freund as 'coach in waiting" so didn't mind when he left.

If one didn't shoot pool with Kauk and Gretzky in the basement of the old Union at noon back in the day you missed out.
If one didn't shoot pool with Kauk and Gretzky at the Antique, you missed out.....until they got chewed out for acquiring quarters from the tip rail at the bar to fund their pool game.

Must be targeting a lower level if he's going to play 2 more years. If he dropped to a part-time student this semester, it wouldn't count against his D2 eligibility clock.
Probably the reason for the asterisks.

Pretty young.
It would be nice to hire a young coach who after 10 years at UND isn't at retirement age.
The next Coach better have gotten a better offer within 5-7 years

For those who think the AD must already have a candidate or 2 in mind before making the move with Bubba, we thought the same when Muss was fired. Instead we had a month plus embarrassment of a process only for Bubba to apply after the initial job posting period had finished.
Faison was active though. I know he had reached out to Klieman to gauge his interest before Muss was fired.

Schmidt getting paid more than UND could afford, I doubt he leaves.
Their highest paid assistant coach made 330K in 2023.
250K in Grand Forks is close to 400K in San Diego.

We beat SDSU heads up. SDSU beat USD.
I think when you are looking at all 3 teams you could have went in any order at first glance. My initial thought would have been USD, NDSU, SDSU
USD played a d2 school and unfortunately had a game cancelled and SDSU also played a d2 school. At second glance I would have placed NDSU 2 and since the comparison is now just between the South Dakota Schools, SDSU won head to head so they are 3 and USD is 4.

I recall a sub-.500 Hak squad at break that went to a Frozen Four.
We're still in the "r" months.
If it looks like Friday in the "y" months I'll be far more leery.
In looking at schedule at beginning of the year and certainly not anticipating the injuries we have had I figured we would be somewhere between 5-6 and 7-4 after first 11 games.
6-0 over next 6.
12-6 over last 18.
23-12...maybe 2-3 ties in there. Can we get healthy enough to accomplish.

Good Luck to Brady Oliviera, the 2023 and 2024 Most Outstanding Canadian Player in the CFL and 2024 Most Outstanding Player in the CFL(argueably should have won it in 2023 as well) and Evan Holm as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers try and capture the Grey Cup today!

Love the Bismarck games. Good start to something that should be annual.
Maybe get to this(from previous thread)
Bismarck Civic Center
2-3 day event
NDSU and UND against Montana and Montana St.
U Mary and Minot or Jamestown against a couple teams from the Great NW Athletic Conference and/or Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference
BSC and UTTC against a couple JUCOS from Wyoming or Nebraska.
maybe Mix in some High School teams from ND and SD.

This is a big year for the coaching staff. At some point, we need to take steps forward in WBB.
Are you new here?

Great game to watch so far.
Was surprised when I saw we were a 7.5 point dog to a 1-7 team but the teams that have beat them are 42-15
