Started as one and then fell out of favor throughout those 13 games. Why would they keep him around the team if he had an off ice issue?

Solid fixture? Started the season top 4, playing 2nd PP unit. Slowly lost minutes and lost PP. Continued to turnover the puck consistently and pulled himself out of play. You could quite literally see the reason he was falling out of favor. All of that said, I'm just telling you what I heard from multiple people. Again, believe what you want. Exactly. If here was an issue bad enough to keep him off the ice other than his play, he wouldn't be around the team.

I've been told several times by multiple people that it's not an off ice issue. He just has not shown the ability to play defense and is at the bottom of the depth chart. Apparently he's still working hard and is being a solid teammate. Believe what you want, but sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one.

Fair point. Still didn't win one. He's at Minny now and still hasn't won one. Until he's done it, it's still an interesting comparison to me. This wasn't intended to be super controversial lol.

Because they are able to bring him and he's a part of the team. If he were a problem, he wouldn't be there. He's almost certainly not gonna play, but I'm sure his teammates love having him there. He's a good kid.

That's my point of why I think it's funny Motz's name is being brought up. It's really that simple.

I think there's an increase of players allowed on a trip in the playoffs, if I'm not mistaken. Not gonna lie, I kind of want to see Johnson play tomorrow just for the results of what would come on here hahahaha.

I wasn't saying specifically Motzko. He's clearly not going anywhere. It was a comparison to the anger towards Bubbs' who has yes, won a national championship, and has very similar career results as Motzko, but the fact that he's always been known as a coach that has never gotten it done. Motz's team currently is clearly moving in the right direction. Did the same at St. Cloud. But, if the dude keeps putting up steady results, keeps getting good recruits, BUT fails to win the big one in a one-and-done tourney (paging Dave Hakstol), when does that cut bait conversation happen? I was drawing a parallel because it's interesting, to me, to see this happening. I'm not sitting here saying that I don't want Minnesota's pipeline. A LOT of those guys, I'd love to see in Kelly Green. With that said, ours is really, really good and yes, it has the makings to be at that level. You don't have to agree with it, that's fine. I just really like what I've seen. My comment was just to pick at the idea that Motzko, who has gotten his programs to a top level, but not won the big one, is getting all the roses.

Didn't see a thread for this, but I suppose I can start one! Watching Moorhead and Edina. Edina's Jackson Nevers committed to Minny. Lindberg from Moorhead reminds me of Frisch. Reierson good looking skater.

I know, I know. I just think it's very funny for some of us to want Motzko at the same time we are complaining about Bubbs' successes. Motz's overall resume isn't exactly marked with post season success.

Omaha is averaging 31.5 shots a game. Rounding up to 32, DeRidder would need to stop 30 of 32 to be 0.9375. Works for me.
