I am an employee of the GFH and an avid follower of siouxsports.com. My question is, how many more people are on SS.com at any given time then in the newsroom at GFH or DAZ? It's a huge difference. We are all doing our daily jobs and for us to stumble upon a link the the one in the Libya would take us away from doing our work. The post of the Sioux sweatshirt in Libya was from a person who had the time to surf the net and happend to stumble upon it at CNN.com. Once a reporter got wind of it, it was put on DAZ's website. It's unreasonable to think that every bit of news that we find is found from inside the newsroom. If it weren't for the internet and things of the like, it would be impossible for the GFH and DAZ to survive. Also, when it comes to the Williams and Ree story and many others that make it into the paper and onto our website, our reporters check facts, get quotes, re-check facts, then write the story. Reading something on a message board and the slapping it on the web for all to see does not constitute good journalism. So, maybe yes I am being a bit of a homer for my place of work, but lay off the finger pointing and bedroom journalism.

Hey all, Looking to buy a pair of tickets for the 27th (sunday) game against BSU. I work Friday and Saturday nights and I haven't been able to catch a game yet this season. Please help me out! Thanks

Buccigras yes, Melrose...absolutely not. He is the definition of east coast bias. His knowledge of college hockey is weak and he never gives anyone outside of HE any credit for their programs. Trust me, listen to him this weekend. He'll be kiss some major behind of the Wildcats and Terriers and giving very little respect to our Sioux and the Buckeyes

Yes, Tech doesn't quit, but that doesn't mean they're going to score. We can score, they can't. Simply put. Just cuz they hung a 6 on the goofers doesn't make them a juggernaut. They got shut out the next night. Another thing, when have you seen our team quit this year? 4-0, 3-1 Sioux sweep

To be completely honest, BU is the only team in the nation that scares me. 31-9 is right, BU can score on three lines and all their D. Colin Wilson is a force....Not many players in the nation that can play with him one on one based on his size and skill. They are a dangerous team this year, but saying that, I'd love to play them. They have a defense who is agressive and jump into plays and aren't too disciplined. We can take advantage of that. Michigan is not the team they had last year that could have easily won the national title. DU will need more than Bozak to shore up their shortcomings. Plus, Bozak has been out for 3/4 of the year, who knows how he's gonna preform? He's a great player but he's not the team. One team I wouldn't overlook whatsoever is CC. I was so impressed with them two weeks ago. Their speed up and down the line up (Sweat, Walsky, and even Rau) make them a real threat if they find a way to make it into the tournament. We all know Bachman has the skills to lead a team like this and with a ligitimate scorer like Chad Rau, this team can be scary. With that, I have all the faith in the world that this Sioux team can win it all. We have a lot of character in our locker room and a lot of guys who have a big time drive to succeed. How ever the rest of the season goes, it sure has been fun.

As a fellow Yankee fan....there is nothing worse than seeing a team from BAHston hoisting anything special at the end of the year...in any sport. With that being said, this year's Sioux team is something special...so much different than in years past. I would love to see a team from Boston in this year's playoffs because generally they rely on a couple superstars (Gerbe) to lead their team to victory. We are different and I haven't seen a team with this much depth at any level in a long time. GO SIOUX!! Beat down Bucky and bring home that cup!

Finehage actually dressed on sunday and was warming up before the game. I'm glad Millsy toughed it out though I'm headed to Mad-Town on thursday with a bunch of buddies....man I hope than can hoist that cup. Seniors deserve to hang a banner for the success they have had during their time here. Scary to think what the class would have been like it we kept all we had. (i.e. Osh, Toews, Chorns and Lee) GO SIOUX!!!
