No way. Gone, but never forgotten. Faded away, to parts unknown.

Or how about this route? Warriors...

From Brad's blog: “Ever since I’ve been a little kid, I’ve always dreamed of going to North Dakota and playing for the Sioux,” Kiersted said. “When I played for the Minnesota Machine, we would go up to Winnipeg and play and we’d always stop on the way in Grand Forks and get a tour of the arena. I fell in love with the town and the school ever since then.” I absolutely love this and I love this kid already. I hope he wears letter one day. Sounds like a kid who's gonna bleed green and really wants to be here.

The last one is my favorite with first one being a close second. The Mecca? Give me a break.... We're MN... YEAH! We get to win no matter what because our state's past time is hockey and ice skating and cold weather and stuff! We're MN! -

Big games?? Your team just LOST IN THE TITLE GAME!!! -
Ok, just clarifying that you THINK he's gone. Just making sure we weren't dealing with facts here.
-
Again, why do you think he's going? Source?
-
Exactly what I was thinking. Not a single teacher at UND would not allow Rocco in a class, regardless of it being full or not, IMO.
-
Lol what I'm saying is that I never signed up this early haha.

WHAT? Where did you hear?!

I, for one, am not downplaying it whatsoever. It was an epic moment that will never be forgotten by either side. Just like Porter's wraparound, Wheeler's jersey pop, The Timeout and Holy Cross. But, call a spade a spade... if you guys woulda won on Saturday, this woulda meant A LOT more and made the sting A LOT worse if UM woulda won the title. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. I hear people tell me all the time when I bring up the Porter wraparound that it doesn't mean anything. It's an easy comeback because it's true. Doesn't downplay anything. Calling a spade a spade. -
My thought is... he's gotta make a decision, why waste time signing up for classes if you have yet to make your decision? Plus, it's a little bit early to be signed up for the fall. Not that he hasn't had the opportunity, but he doesn't need to sign up at this point, yet. Maybe the summer thing is him just not wanting to be on campus? I personally LOVED online classes when I was at UND. Just trying to be overly optimistic here

Pretty sure the SiouxKid post was a joke.

I think that the N. Schmaltz bit about him leaving if Jordan does is purely speculation. Has anyone heard anything of the sort actually being true?
-
Not exactly sure. You talking Mike McCarron? Not sure how close he got to campus, but he played only a year in the USHL. Koules decommitted in late April, if I'm not mistaken.
-
Agreed, there's a chance, but from the big names that I'm reading about, they play 1 year or a half year and then bolt on their commitment. Not two full years. Miller seems to be the one that was the most painful because of the timing and I think he's also the exception when kids leave for the CHL. Generally, it seems to come after 1 or a half year in the USHL or a league of the like.
-
What I was asking was how many players play in the USHL (Yes, I include NTDP) for TWO FULL YEARS, like Nick did and then bolt to the CHL. My point is that all the big names that have bolted to the CHL have either left mid season or after one year. Would be weird to me to see him play two years in the USHL when he didn't have to, granted the the CHL wanted him, which of course they did.
-
Ok. Well... maybe show me something so it's not your word against mine. Not trying to stir the pot, but I'd like to see some the names of kids that have done it. Especially players who had commitments to NCAA teams. Matteau and Miller stand out as a couple.
-
Has that happened many times? I feel like they play one year and go, or not go to the USHL at all, in the cases I've seen.
-
Yes. And in the words of MM. Book it ... I wish I could say this is true. Man that would be awesome.
