  1. We'll only be one short (I think) and will have a National Title in our back pocket. We'll have big ones, too. EDIT: Forgot which thread we were in. Sorry :S haha
  2. I agree, actually. He's an undrafted walk on for a reason. Again, not taking anything away from him as he was a big part for us last year, but he is who he is.
  3. Again, I think your overvaluing Rinks a little bit. I'll take the best talented goaltender. We wouldn't have recruited Tomek and he wouldn't have been drafted in the third round if he's not able to make saves against Canisius.
  4. 100% agree with both. That being said, Cam showed the ability to make big saves when called upon. A step back for him wouldn't be a cliff dive.
  5. I'm very curious to see what kind of game Cam brings this year. He was such a rock for us down the stretch and pretty much all year. Interested to see how he does sans LaDue, Stecher and KT. 15-16's d-corps is one of the best that we've ever seen. I'm not expecting a step back, but it wouldn't shock me. I also don't think a "step back" will be a drastic drop off. Cam proved he's a heckuva tendy last year.
  6. I think you're putting too much emphasis on the past season, but I see your point. As far as Tomek getting time that he hasn't earned, no way. Not how this program works. That being said, talent usually wins out, particularly in net.
  7. Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Mr. Beer, here. Rinks had a great run last season, but IMO, unless he improves greatly this summer, I think he's reached his ceiling. Just because he had a good 10 stretch last season doesn't mean Tomek isn't more talented. Tomek would have likely gotten those starts with Cam out had he been healthy. I'd be very surprised to see Rinks as our No. 2. I'm of the opinion that Cam will start the season as the No. 1 with Tomek taking a start or two early on. I also feel Tomek could very well take the No. 1 spot by season's end. We'll see. Good discussion post, though! What does everyone else think?
  8. Do we have any hats in our history? Ugh. Shivers, meet spine.
  9. I'm not sure if you were kidding or not, but it's a Red-Tail Hawk, and plays off a Daniel Boone-ish "Pioneer" hat. I always thought this debate was rather funny lol http://www.denverpost.com/2013/06/04/du-pioneers-mascot-denver-boone-at-center-of-controversy/
  10. So, they'd be a top 3 team in the WHL, right? How much would they beat London by? I kid, I kid
  11. What IHTINB was referring to was when Zane was Gothberg and pretty much single handedly got us to the Four. Zane McIntyre played poorly against BU the next year.
  12. Agreed. Much more of his legacy, IMO ... although I'll never forget that hit haha.
  13. That is absolutely spot on. That d@mn logo. SOOOO many people that that specific logo was the one that was going to be picked. Not that it was an option, but THAT logo was the one. Ugh. So effing stupid.
  14. Lammy: Making a relatively routine glove save and making it look like a save off a shot by Alexander Ovechkin by holding your glove out for the world to see.
  15. Koz had the best shot I have ever seen in person. Wasn't great at creating space, but when he was free, boy that thing was a laser. Wilkie seems to have a better all around game and a great shot. So heavy. So hard. So accurate.
  16. I know it wasn't my opinion you were looking for, but Sun Dogs and it's not close lol.
  17. I'll take clean, all day. If I were a Panthers fan, I'd be completely fine with this logo. No teeth. No scowl, please, for UND's sake.
  18. If you're going to be annoying, long-winded and highly questionable, might as well be cute, right? Well, that's my formula, I guess
  19. 70 lines of adorable, right there.
  20. Hopefully they'll raise the Big 10 champion banner the night we're there
  21. I'm curious as to why you think NoDak wouldn't win handily. UND has a better top line... yes, those three are good and POTENTIALLY great players, but they aren't as developed as the CBS, physically. UND has a MUCH better d-corps and nearly all of them are older and more physically developed. It's really not a shot at London.
  22. I had some one point this out to me.... London's 5th leading scorer.... yeah, he was a healthy scratch for BU for much of his time there... 4 career points, 1 goal. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
  23. I'm honestly not even in the ball park of his thinking. The premise is silly. If UND plays like they did in important games (the entire NCAA tournament this season), they won't win only 8 of 10.... they win all 10.
  24. Ironically enough, I absolutely have it circled for 16-17. But, for me at least, it's just a little bit more about a particular piece of history going into the rafters of the Ralph and not so much about seeing Taylor Dickin play, post UND
