  1. He warmed up, right? I think that's an indicator of the severity.
  2. Really? Based on what? Their, at best, below average defense? Not quite sure where I see where you're coming from, man. Could it happen? Absolutely. Michigan's D is bad, too. But their really, really good offense reigns over anything Minny has.
  3. OSU is absolutely not better then Penn State, but whatever. What are we arguing about here? I agreed with you that all the teams can win the Big 10, I just don't think anyone other than those three will. Michigan is undoubtedly the best team in the Big 10. I've watched them all several times and it's not even close. Regardless of who has the "best" defense (all are poor, frankly), Michigan's offense runs the show on a nearly nightly basis. I'm not even going to waste my time talking about Wisco or OSU's D because they won't go anywhere haha. If you're a betting man, I'd be willing to take Michigan over Minny in a final. Name the stakes (besides my first born child or my wife. she wouldn't be happy )
  4. Anyone can beat anyone in the NCHC, too. Too easy of a cliche. Michigan is the best team in the conference and PSU/Minny are 2 and 2a. I still think Michigan rips Minny if that's the final. Yup. If they play Wisconsin, I think Sconnie could very well knock them off. Minnesota is AWFUL defensively and Wisconsin has a lot of team speed.
  5. It is when two of those teams are better than you lol. Minnesota was a much better team last year. Michigan will paste them when it counts and it wouldn't surprise me even a little bit to see the Gophers lose in the first round or against a team like PSU.
  6. I'd assume it'll be a partisan Blue crowd, but I doubt it'll be a "big" one.
  7. All of this is speculation, obviously. Frankly, I think Michigan pounds Minny in the Big 10 tourney and Minny is watching the NCAA tournament. We'll see.
  8. Michigan is also Minny's best win. So, not sure who you're slighting here.
  9. Sure, but they also beat Michigan, Penn State and UMass-Lowell. Minny's best win is Michigan. So, toss out Mich and PSU, they both split against each. Could Minny beat UM-L? I'm not so sure.
  10. Other than Minny? Why? RMU is very good this year. Minny is very, very average.
  11. I'd much rather come to St. Paul and play the No. 15 then go to Cincy and play No. 16. Not much difference, IMO. RMU is just as good as Minny (or PSU, Mankato) this year.
  12. I feel like him skating in pregame is an indication that it's not a terribly serious injury. If he needs to take CC off, so be it. No reason we can't get it done against the Tigers regardless who we put on the ice.
  13. That was fun, eh? Good to see the team put the hammer down when something was incredibly important and right in front of their faces. That type of performance is what we need in the tourney. All four lines, three d-pairings and our goalie played well. Excellent.
  14. 5-1 as the green and white roll with a lot of motivation to get the Penne Rosa outright. Boeser x2, Nick, Rhett, Stechy
  15. One point for an outright Penrose title is enough for the Green and White bit.ly/1RsWtln
  16. Definitely a high compete level from Hain. Love that. I noticed Mattson a couple times, particularly in space and on a nice backdoor pass that nearly lead to a goal, but I also noticed a bit of a coast sometimes on the back check and in the defensive zone. I was drooling over his size and the combo of his mobility and hands. Poolman will put 15 lbs of weight on that kid and make him an absolute beast.
  17. Agreed. Got a lot on the pass right on the tape after using his body to fight off a defender. Good stuff. Loved a lot of what I saw from our boys Senden, Mattson and Hain.
  18. Wow Micah Miller. That kid is a jet. I'd bet he's getting an offer from someone.
  19. Not in the least bit since I was just playing around. Sorry if my comment got your panties in a bunch, bub.
  20. I'd imagine so. Probably not ready for college. Not an elite player, just sound all around. I really liked his game.
  21. Senden with Wayzta's first goal as they lead Burnsville 3-1 after two. Sioux type goal... carried the puck through the zone, beating a d-man around the edge to the paint, runs over the goalie and scores. I'm very much enjoying the fact that Pat O'Leary's best player is going to North Dakota. I hope that pisses him off Love this kid's game. Heavy and fast. Very responsible in the dzone and blocks shots. Love it.
  22. Senden with Wayzata's first goal as they lead Burnsville 3-1 after 2.
  23. Absolutely agree. He's definitely a player who needs a year or two in junior. Regardless of when the production came, when a player scores nearly 50 goals in a season, it'd be silly for UND to not at least take a look. Particularly since he's 45 minutes from campus. I have no doubt in my mind that we have our eye on him. Scoring a hatty in a state game is no small feat (despite there being four yesterday haha). He's got work to do, but he's a talent.
