  1. You're right. I TOALLY FORGOT ... My point is completely shattered
  2. Overall, I do apologize for making this all about you because it's certainly not. I think what @scpa0305 has always discussed, from my understanding, is that UND will lose out on the market share with how college hockey is going. I can't disagree with that. When I hear "backfilling with over-agers" I kind of think that's a lot what we did this year with Britt, Pehrson, Pyke, Johannes, etc. (not shots at them.... they are all very, very good hockey players). UND still has the ability to recruit and that hasn't changed. I think the bolded part is what bothers me the most. This team didn't get dropped from the NCAA tournament by losing two games to CC last week. We're so incredibly over reactive as a fanbase. I understand "fan" is short for fanatic, but my goodness
  3. Man, you bring this up ALL THE TIME and it's just not founded in truth. Who else believes this? What proof do you have about this? UND continues to win games, continues to get into the tournament, continues to recruit great players, continues to put players in the pros. Yes, I understand it's about winning championships, but a team has to have those regular season wins to get to the tournament. It's annoying that DU and UMD have won those titles. No doubt. Those two programs have found a way to have a four-game winning streak a couple times. That's quite literally what it takes to win a title and a team has to no only be very, very good to win those titles, but they also have to be very, very fortunate. That's the nature of the game and the nature of a one-game tournament format. Our standing as a program doesn't, nor should it, be diminished because we haven't been as fortunate in the tournament in recent years. Being a good to great team nearly every year has us in a position to remain where we are. Once you're in the tourney, it takes a lot to win it. UND didn't get it done in 20-21. Does a loss in 5OT mean that team couldn't have won the title? How about the 19-20 team that was lost to COVID? Both of those teams had what it takes to win. It's complete nonsense to think that because they didn't go on a four-game winning streak to end those seasons that our program is somehow diminished.
  4. He quite literally made them on Saturday. If Johannes come back, he'll make them again.
  5. Alaska tried to do it to us, so did Miami. I definitely believe CC is a good team. I'm also not going to be afraid of CC is we have to play them again. Would I prefer to play them again, no, but I'm not afraid to play them. For 40 minutes on Saturday, this team played very well, but did not bury the puck. We've shown the ability to do so all season. CC is committed to their style of speed and structure, but UND did get to good areas for most of Saturday. Just didn't finish.
  6. They beat it repeatedly on Saturday, especially in the first 40, but didn't bury the puck. The second sentence is the key. Paging Mr. Johannes.
  7. Has he? Beating UND is one thing, but UND has still had a better season. Btw, I did say Mayotte would win it lol
  8. Let's get this going. I know CC is playing well, and I know they played us well at home, but I don't care. I truly believe we are better and we should win. I think we break out a little bit, here. Our boys need to be and should be playing loose. The pressure is more so on the Tigers. Play fast and win. UND wins 4-1 Blake, OMac, Gaber, Jammer
  9. I like it, but goodness, please, no OT haha. I guess it would keep our regulation streak intact. I think we sweep. Not because CC isn't good, because they are. But, I just think we're better. The team is really rolling. Just feels like a confident bunch. With that said, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to get smacked in the mouth one of the nights just to keep the team on its toes.
  10. I'd assume Cheese
  11. In defense of Bubs (I think Mayotte will likely win it, and should), he turned around AN ENTIRE DCorps and added a new goaltender. That's a helluva recruiting and coaching job
  12. Man, SO much more fun being in this spot as opposed to last year. Goodness, I can't wait for the tournament.
  13. Albrecht in, Johannes out.... but, Bubs said he's "not far from being in the lineup"
  14. Lots of hedging going on around here.... Let's effing sweep them. Yes, they played us well in our barn. Yes, they are having a better year than they have in a long time. But, so our we. Eff this team. Sweep em and get one step closer to the Penne Rosa.
  15. I'm not. I'm rooting for Omaha to lose because I think they are annoying In all honesty, I'm a one step at a time kind of guy. The Penrose is step one for me. So, whatever gets us there quickest, count me in
  16. Isn't this the game plan of every team that plays hockey?
  17. What am I defending? "We didn't play well and neither did Luddy".... what a stupid "argument" this is.
  18. Again, what did he sugar coat? Solid scoring chances? Like on the horrendous bounce that lead to a wide open breakaway on the SHG? Whatever. Long story short, d corps didn't play their best and Luddy didn't bail them out. Got the win. Let's stop going in circles lol.
  19. There were definitely a couple bad bounces, but I don't disagree we didn't play our best defensive game.
  20. Disagree. Luddy definitely wants a couple back from tonight, but he's been the guy all year. He also made a huge save late to help us win. He'll be fine.
  21. Well, I don't think he was that far off. UND played well in that game, by in large, and a couple of bad bounces did lead to goals, two that Luddy would want back. Plus, what do you want Bubs to say? I'll never understand why anyone wants a coach to rip his players publicly. It accomplishes nothing. The team knows they shouldn't have needed OT for the win.
  22. I see it as a balance thing. The third and fourth lines feel relatively similar. If you flip Strinden and Schmaltz, the gap would be wider, IMO. Kunz deserved his shot on line 1. Perron will be fine and will ultimately be an incredible Top 6 player, right now he's just not there yet. It happens.
