  1. Thanks for the generalized statement in comparing the 2018-19 team with the 2020-21 team. This team often buries chances seeing we have the 6th highest scoring offense, much differently than 18-19. If you don't believe UND dominated (or whatever term you choose to use -- controlled, carried, etc.), then I don't know what to tell ya, guy.
  2. One and two, sure, minus the "or better" part of No. 1. Three... that's, well, shall we say -- debatable. Saville gave up 9 goals on 79 shots (UND had an ENG on Friday) for a 88% save percentage and had a combined 4.5 goals against average in the two games. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin...
  3. All the "downvotes" aside, does a one-goal win at home in which they had 3 power play goals in 5 chances and got outshot by 20 really reflect a wholly positive view on UNO? I'm not sure it does, man. All things considered, UND absolutely dominated that series when 5-on-5 and unequivocally should have left Baxter with two wins.
  4. Yes, this. I think it's a smart general outline, but say if BU gets to 12 games and is 11-1 or 10-2, I certainly wouldn't be shocked to see the NCAA make a change. I'd support it if they had some qualities wins, actually. I just want to see the best teams get in, by what standard, I guess, I have no idea haha. Such a strange year. The NCAA has never really been an arbiter for "fairness" (needless to say) and with the name clout that BU brings to college hockey, it would frankly be shocking if they didn't get in if they have a solid resume but only 12 games. Just a thought.
  5. Depends on the who the regulars are, I guess haha. Definitely interesting, though.
  6. Series definitely has split written all over it.
  7. Yep. It'll be interesting to see how good they are. Looking forward to the next four games against them, as well.
  8. A team like AIC is a near lock this year as you really can't throw out a team with nearly 20 wins in a year like this. So, if they don't win their conference tourney, there goes another spot. DU and Lowell are in a tough spot.
  9. Absolutely good for the game. They aren't in our league yet. Not speaking about this season as they are at least comparable this season, but more in terms of pedigree, tradition, recruiting, rivalries, and consistency. I could see it happening, but not close yet.
  10. Hahaha yikes. Fair enough.
  11. I see plenty of value in reading other people's perspectives about a team. It's ok to disagree with each other.
  12. I agree that UNO is above average, but them being opportunistic, essentially needing 5 power plays to win, does not put them on our level. We absolutely controlled play, top to bottom, both games, when it was 5 on 5. I would be absolutely shocked if they won the NCHC. Frankly, I see no chance.
  13. Blows my mind. We've barely been in their orbit for what, 7 years now? Sure, Blais was there, but good lord, not even close. We play similar styles and they could eventually become a very strong rival, but right now, they are so low on our list.
  14. Does this guy actually believe this? He HAS to be trolling for a reaction. I really dislike UNO, but it's not even remotely close to Minny, Wisconsin, DU, Clown, BC, Michigan, BU. If he's serious, I nominate this quote as an early 2021 dumbest-take-of-the-year favorite.
  15. The summation of this entire thread.... Not a shot at you, @jdub27, at all. We've all been going in circles for nearly 2 full days.
  16. Oh, you were being serious. Football moved their season, though. I don't think I've heard anything about winter athletes keeping eligibility. I could be wrong. EDIT: Simple Google search. Looks like all winter athletes get another year. Interesting.
  17. So, we get everyone back? Sweet!
  18. Adams is a senior. Wish he could stay tho lol.
  19. I'm not necessarily talking impact in the game, but just how good of a player he is. Sorry, I could have elaborated. His impact yesterday was all about transition out of the zone and his speed, in general.
  20. I thought the top line looked rusty, but definitely had three or four shifts where they looked like they did last season. Sanderson may be the best freshman skater I've ever seen and may be the best skater on this team, already. So incredibly agile. Gaber was so much fun last night. If he's here four years, he'll finish as a UND legend. Gotta role with Scheeler on a shutty. DU will play a little angry after losing a game they should have won, but I believe we're better. 4-2 UND
  21. Can we just move on? Just the same argument over and over and over. Both sides of the aisle are understood. We've even lost some fans, apparently. Move on, shall we?
  22. I thought we were dominant defensively and that's the backbone of a title. All zones. Scoring will come, no doubt in my mind.
  23. He was absolutely incredible in the first period, but quiet midway through. He made an unreal, backhanded sauce pass from the corner leading up to an odd-man rush right after Gaber's goal. I was very happy with him. Never got out of position and was eager to enter the rush especially in the first. Such a smooth skater. Incredible feet.
  24. Here's the official one
  25. Albrecht, Rieger, Moore
