Totally agree. Yeah, I don't think 2021's depth is way better, it's just that I feel like the scoring is a bit more spread out. Super close.

Definitely. In 20 years when his NHL career is over, I think we'll look back at Jake Sanderson as one of the best players that have ever come through our program.

Today? I'd take 2016. That team had been in that spot. Ran the gamut of playoff games. Plus, the CBS line was just flat-out unstoppable. 2021 has yet to play in the tournament. With that said, they showed me a lot the past two games. Fun conversation.

I think what stands out about the D-corps that makes me pick them is their youth. Only 2 seniors and our best D is a freshman (IMO). 2016 was heavy upper class. I think the talent level is higher in the 2021 D-corps. That's saying a lot.

Can you ask me after the season? Top end forwards -- 2016 Forward depth -- 2021 Goaltending -- 2021, but it's close Defense -- at the beginning of the year, I would have said 2016 with a bullet, but Sanderson is who I expected him to be and Kleven is MUCH better. Nearly all of the 2016 d-corps played in the NHL. The same could happen again. I think I go 2021 because I think Sanderson will be an all-star in the show.

Agreed. I think he'll get here, I just wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't.

No, no, no... nothing of that "explosive" type. Take it for what it's worth. He sounds like he's a bit of a handful. With that said, UND is a program that players come to realizing they need to check egos at the door. Hopefully our coaches/locker room can reign him in.

I'm hearing a few things about Morrow that I'm not really liking. Wouldn't shock me if he's not in kelly green next season.

His Dad played at UND. So, he's likely worn a Sioux jersey his whole life and grew up in the culture. Just relax.

He's got 14 points after missing nearly the entire pod for the WJC and is a point per game player in the second half. Jake has PLENTY of offense lol. Incredible hands and vision. Hard shot. Insane moves. If he stays, I think he's NCHC player of the year next season and a Hobey hat trick finalist. Kid is absolutely elite.

Lots of factors... consider who was out, who we're playing, match ups... not to mention, we're a dang good team and have the ability to score in bunches. It happens. I loved the last two games. Fought through adversity, came from behind, and won huge games against good teams.

Much like the thread last night... maybe we should all get better at, you know, watching the WHOLE game before jumping to conclusions

Agreed. He was back on the bench in the third, but I don't remember him playing a shift. Kid was all over the place tonight, blowing up with big hits and energy. Would be a massive loss.

So happy for Hainer. Made an incredible dive to keep the puck in the zone and that goal was an absolute frickin' rocket.
