  1. After this weekend, the boys can see what's in front of them. Getting a sweep in Oxford is another step towards banner No. 1 on the season. Bubs will surely focus on preventing any lull in focus and the leadership on the team will make sure our boys bring it. Bury Miami and keep it rolling.
  2. On the contrary, they feel like a 1.5 line team with 3 really great defensemen. We shut down their big boys this weekend and we all see what happened. Very good team, but our depth is better. Not really a shot at DU, but more of kudos to UND's staff constructing this year's squad.
  3. My goodness, the building was just so ready to explode and another pure snipe did the trick. So memorable.
  4. We had this in the beginning of the season a little bit, caught a funk, and the past two weekends we got back to it. I said it Friday and it held up on Saturday... elite, championship-level defense. Starts with the tremendous poise of guys like Pehrson, Weibe and Zmolek (Seriously, how good has this kid been? Absolutely dominant defensive player) nearly always making the patient, easy smart play in d zone. Also, the solidly consistently play in net by Persson. He did enough this weekend to help us get two massive wins. The past two weekends saw a huge difference in all four lines constantly getting back into plays on the backcheck. Blaker has basically done a 180 on this. Huge for them. All effort, all 120 minutes this weekend. Let's not forget how dynamic and game-breaking our offense is. My goodness, this power play. So many guys can make the big play and I think that is a big piece of what can be a big run. Think 2016... elite defense, top line studs, but scoring through the last forward group. This weekend was the formula personified. Cannot undersell what our D did against DU's top line. Unreal performance. Of course, check the boxes on the way out, but this weekend legitimized what this team can be. If the country had any doubt that UND can be there in St. Paul in April, holding the best offense in the country by far to under 3 goals for the first and second times all year proves who this team is. Any bumps along the way, just get back to this weekend's play. Play like this, and we're celebrating in a big way in April.
  5. Yep. Elite, championship level defense the entire game. Fantastic performance from our boys.
  6. D@mn second ENG got me off my call hahaha.
  7. Over 2, I'd be upset. 2 is fine as long as they don't score any further
  8. Going a whole season without scoring under 3 goals is ridiculous. I'm saying it stops tonight! 4-2 UND win Gaber, OMac, Strinden, Jammer
  9. I think he chose Blake because of what he's already done to Rizzo in a corner up in Magness. Anyone will work haha
  10. They have definitely continued to do it.
  11. Feels like we're all in consensus on this one, @AJS. May need to call Bubs haha
  12. Berg got one more touch in behind the next and banked it in off Basse's skate.
  13. All you gotta do is look in the rafters of the Herb to understand why they'd react like that. *cough* participation banners *cough*
  14. Not a bad weekend at all, considering we got dominated for 120 minutes
  15. Agreed, but just like last night, UND is keeping them perimeter and giving Persson plenty of lanes to see.
  16. Do these announcers truly believe Clown "dominated" the second and third last night? And who are the "Grand Forks media members" who said we got dominated? My goodness
  17. Hey, cmon! Lol I don't know Schmaltz's xG, but I bet Perron and Strinden's are both better. I wholeheartedly agree Schmaltz should be 4C and I would prefer Perron sees much more ice time. Strinden, too.
  18. Tough to not give up lanes when it was 6 on 4. Can't play a heavy pressure PK when down 2 men.
  19. He was so, so, so good tonight. Dumb penalty, yes, but my goodness you are ignoring his entire game because of this.
