Correct me if I'm wrong but we've also had two championship won when we've had a freshman goalie!!! (1987, 1997,....2009?)

I have had that same gut feeling ever since the Minnesota series. We have such depth that could take us there. I want to be realistic and it kills me each year when we fall short, if we do fall short, it was a wonderful season and there will be great things to come. That being said I like our chances, as long as those chances go our way. Eidness makes those big saves while holding a lead or saving a game (ex. Saturday night CC, UW friday night). If were not scoring, he gives us life until those chances go our way. We're winning those close battles that championship teams win. With our depth and hunger, why not us this year? These seniors deserve it. Go Sioux! 8 in 2009, sounds perfect to my ears!

That line has had a good season, and yes they are valuable. Thats why there on the first line. Without Dunc, Gregoire, and Hex, our team would probably 5th or so. You can say that about every teams first line, without them they would struggle. I give you that, that without them, they would struggle tons. But as for a case for MVP? MOST VALUABLE? They've both had great seasons you can't argue with that.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but....shouldn't a DEFENSIVE player be voted MVP for playing great DEFENSE? +/- is an indication that there are some issues on the defensive side. Especially when you have two other D on your team in the positive. I say give it to Marto before this dude. When Marto scores, we don't lose! Marto for MVP!

Fowler was a Notre Dame recruit and has since decommitted, and is going to the "OHL Windsor's" http://www.freep.com/article/20090224/SPOR...s+OHL+s+Windsor Not that I'm not happy Notre Dame lost a good recruit, but it sounds kinda like the same move that Garrett Clark pulled on us. I guess not to that extreme. I don't know though, Kitchener gave up there rights on him after they thought he wasn't going to the OHL.

This is probably old news, but I found this article pretty interesting on how hard OHL and the Rangers are working on getting Morin....So there still is a possibility that he plays for UND? Any news on Jeremy Morin? I know he was looking at UND, DU, and BU, and possibly Kitchner, any updates anyones heard? If he did commit to us, we wouldnt have room, would Hak just let a walk on go (ex. davidson)

He's definately impressive in the youtube videos I've seen of him If its in the first three rounds, I'd like him to end up with us next year, he won't last till he's a junior or senior thats for sure.

Although I can't wait to see Mattson tearing it up hear at UND, wouldn't we rather have Knight here since he's already proven himself in Juniors and has that experience behind him? But I'm sure the clock is ticking with Mattson, I can't imagine he'll be a 3-4 year player here at UND.

If Dunc doesn't win it, I think Lasch should win it. He's really led the SCSU team and his game winner the other night at DU, clutch. But WHEN the Sioux clinch the WCHA regular season how can you overlook there second half surge and award the Most Valuable Player to a team leader from UND?
