HAHA. This is too funny! In order to be a dynasty, "you need to have a coach there for a long time and also an arena that you're proud of!" That quote is obviously paraphrased. "Students and fans might be witnessing the beginning of a team that will be talked about as one of the best ever in college hockey." It takes alot more then a nice building, a good coach, and decent recruiting, to be considered a dynasty. That's just a start. Then you need to win, year in and year out. Don't hate me for saying but, I would have trouble saying that UND had a "dynasty" with the Duncan class till now. That was with 3 frozen fours (4 NCAA tourney appearances), a league championship, a broadmoor trophy to top it all off. Miami a dynasty? Good luck in the tourney.

Yeah i noticed that too. I guess its between Omaha and UND. It probably just comes down to need on UND's part. We have alot of forwards coming in next year. If VV stays, I can't imagine we'd bring in Mattson. But I sure am excited to watch him play with a sioux sweater on. His time is probably ticking whereas he's going be a 2-3rd rounder most likely. Can't imagine he's going be a 4 yr player. But I also could see us bring in Corban Knight who is ripping it up in Canada, before bringing in a young Mattson.

There was talk about Bowling Green dropping hockey, which isn't the case anymore. But on another note, U of Minnesota Crookston dropped hockey, not that many care

People didn't think he'd be a number one guy, top 5 in scoring, but they did think he'd be a 2-3rd liner, role player.

Hak is great coach and solid recruiter, we just havent one it yet with him. College hockey is alot tougher to win it all now, the teams are so much more even across the board now days, ie) notre dame losing to BSU, Michigan losing to AF. Three number one teams are done in the tourney in the first games, when have we EVER seen that! Getting rid of Hakstol and our coaches will only hurt the program, not help it. I really wish we'd stop staying coulda, shoulda, woulda, with different coaches than hakstol. When we do that, we act like Kentucky fans in basketball. I'm not staying change isn't good, or a new approach could be had with our PP, PK, and offensive/defensive setups. Next year, IMO we'll be better than this year, probably not 1st in the WCHA, but we'll make more damage in the tourney. With a solid class coming in, with Kristo and Cichy hurting opponents on the offensive end and MacWilliam's blocking shots with his face, we'll do just fine. Why throw Hakstol and company under the bus when OUR team lost the game?

Now Vermont needs to finished off BU! I'm glad that UNH lost in heart breaking fashion! I feel a little bit justified, but still...we shoulda been there!
