Completely agree. It does fall on Lucia's shoulders, ultimately. A team needs grinders on the team. They need the 4 year role players. They are starting to switch it up and bringing in older USHL players, which is a start. I am surprised though with so many draft picks that players are hungry every shift to prove theyre worth it. Hak and Co recruit exactly that way. Its all about strategy in recruiting. You need the Kristos, but the Lamoureux/Davidsons create the toughness needed especially in the WCHA.

I really the move to bring in Davidson, but am really surprised by bringing in Gleason tonight at FORWARD. I guess we'll see. I like the idea of changing things up.

Hak and Co really shaking it up. I saw Gleason and Davidson in on forward. Simpson in for Lapoint on defense! WOW. Not even senior captains are promised ice time.

Certainly not a MUST win game, I'd be nice to get this one. Last night was a glass of ice water in the face. We are beatable and we have to work to earn the right to be ranked #2.

After watching the video highlights (thank you SiouxSportsFan) I counted 4 of the 7 goals came simply because of us either not be aggressive, overly aggressive, or just turning the puck over. When we let in the goals that we let in last night it makes it impossible to come back and be competitive. Tonight the first goal will be huge for momentum. Maines not an easy place to play, going down 3-0 in the first gets that crowd rocking. Last night reminded me a little of how we beat teams in GF, DU and UofM recently come to mind where we put up 7+ goals. The momentum of our team and crowd drives us. Lets face it, Maine had that same step last night. Forget reffing, although the PP situations were slanted in their favor, you as a team need to adapt and play disciplined. Sioux tonight will get it done, Eids will come through. 4-2 Sioux

Hopefully we'll see a sweep, but I'd be surprised. Maine packs a good crowd and has some talent on offense. Friday 5-4 Maine, Saturday 3-2 Sioux. Although nothing with our team will surprise me. We look so hungry, nearly every shift (besides 10 mins in Alaska!). It all comes down to our depth, players are eager to prove they belong out there.

Ryan Potulny and Danny Irmen at RRHS left after there soph years to Lincoln. I'd be surprised if he came back for his junior year Central. Especially as Goon pointed out if he's already going to try outs for the USHL.

Great to see him staying true to his roots. I don't think we'll ever see Phil Jackson sporting a Sioux hat.

After the grit the Sioux had this weekend and Sioux fans in attendance at a road game, I'd be very surprised if we don't land him. Why wouldn't a recruit want to come over to the Sioux side?! Hopefully UMTC send him tapes of their games this weekend with Omaha, I'm sure he'll be blown away with the gophers....

Ain't that the truth. His lack of size will probably give us another yr or two with him at UND. Boston College got 3 yrs with Gerbe, I sure hope we get that from him. A lot can change though after the USHL season if Rocco keeps up this pace, I'm sure he'll land in the mid first round.

Yeah crazy, Just goes to show our depth. But he is on our PP so he's getting a lot more time then a "typical" third or 4th liner

Huge win for the Womens program!!! Three weeks in a row with a win over a top ten team. Incredible how a year (and two lamoureux's) can change around a program.

4-3 with 2 mins left! Sioux lead over gophers. We've never beaten the gophers in our history.

Ouch, not the way you want to start out at home...not much hope in minnesota with the gophers in any sport (including womens hockey, losing to UND 4-3!)
