  1. Haha, gave into social pressure! Go Sioux!
  2. Agreed. The REAL UM is Michigan. Sioux will split as well. Our girls team is going be top 5 next year and the year after with the way recruiting is going.
  3. What a stud, I'm excited for this kid to come in. Quick, speedy player that'll help against a Yale or BC team. He'll be for surely a 3-4 yr player because of his size as well, which is great for us.
  4. I'm actually really excited about these games this weekend, its kind of big brother welcoming BSU into our conference and bringing them to where they're at today. I dont know how many years in a row we've had a standing series with them, but it must be up to the last 6-7 years. Sioux will match the intensity Friday night, considering this is UND 3rd game, compared to BSUs first. UND 6-3, Friday, UND 2-1, Saturday.
  5. Great shot! But a better feed from Gregoire!!!! 3-1 Sioux!
  6. 1. Make sure you have Real Player downloaded first. 2. Click on this link http://portal.gci.net/gcisports/uaa_hockey 3. On this page click View Achived Games 4. Then click on the Return to the main hockey page Now a red link should appear saying View Live Games
  7. That webcast I posted is the same as Brad's, looks like we are getting lucky and will get to see our Sioux in action! Hopefully the stream will be a little better than last year (although any free stream is a good stream). It was probably all the Sioux fans logging on to watch slowing it down....
  8. Yeah on Friday night last year we were able to stream for free. The announcer from what I remember was actually pretty entertaining. http://portal.gci.net/gcisports/uaa_hockey?DB_OEM_ID=13400 Hopefully we'll get lucky again.
  9. Agreed, now tell me how he fits in? Who sits instead? Forbort? Some nights probably. Lapoint? Marto? Like as has been said, I'll eat my shoe if either of those guys sit.
  10. Great post, sums up the defense for us this year. You just can't sit Lapoint, Blood, or Marto for sure (Genoway doesn't even need to be mentioned). Unless injury happens and we're set on dressing only 6 defense, I think we'll see Simpson for 15-20 games tops. Which is fine considering he's only 17 and still (hopefully) has 2 yrs + with us here depending on development and draft position. He'll log plenty of time next year thats for sure. We also have Gleason as well, with plenty of experience.
  11. Can you imagine the nightmare teams are going to have trying to match lines. You just can't. Who knows who Hakstol will have out there in the final minutes as well.
  12. Watching Hakstols interview today, looks like you're dead on with Dell and Eids splitting time this weekend. Forbort and Blood will probably be paired again together, as they were for the U of Manitoba. Its definitely good to split Genoway and Forbort up considering their offensive-defensive upside. On another note, what a threat we have being able to have Hextall or Kristo or Knight or Trupp on a third line for us, such depth. Who do teams focus on to shut down? Lets just hope for a quick start to the season!
  13. Mankato/Anchorage I'd say. They we're tied with SCSU in the third 4-4, before the huskies took over. Dell in goal now for us
  14. Nevermind, goal stands, 3-1 Sioux. Knight, Gregoire, and Hextall with goals now. PP coming up for the Sioux
  15. Great individual effort by Gregoire, Hexy picks up the rebound! Now its under review now.
  16. Same way, up in the upper right corner, type in your login, and then hit launch media player and you should be good
  17. Great pick off play by forbort, backhand pass to gregoire and he finds the fivehole
  18. Goal gregoire! great play by forbort!
  19. Now that was a crazy goal! Eids is in goal for us
  20. Sioux down 1-0, besides our passing our team looks so fluid. Looks like Forbort is paired with Blood.
  21. Oh well, slap on the wrist. It'll give some of the less experienced guys more ice time anyways.
  22. Listening to the Sioux coaches show Hak said this: "We got a bunch of veterans who know how to play and couple of young guys who are pretty damn good." Love it! Sunday can't come soon enough.
  23. Link for the Rocco Grimaldi interview on the pipeline show http://www.thepipelineshow.com/clips/season_6/Rocco_Grimaldi_Sept28.mp3
  24. Here's an article from ESPN, nice to see them covering college hockey a bit... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5583790
  25. I dont know if anyone has seen this. But who is East Dakota? I assume they're talking about us. Sometimes ESPN blows my mind. Off The Mark: Hot-Seat Coaches 1. Mike Locksley, New Mexico The Lobos have been outscored 124-17 in their first two games, after losing 52-17 to Texas Tech on Saturday. 2. Tim Brewster, Minnesota The Gophers lost to North Dakota State in 2007 and then lost to South Dakota 41-38 on Saturday. East Dakota is trying to get on Minnesota's schedule. 3. Paul Wulff, Washington State The Cougars had to rally from a 15-point deficit for a 23-22 victory over FCS foe Montana State, which ended their 10-game losing streak. 4. Dan Hawkins, Colorado Welcome to the Pac-10. The Buffaloes, who are expected to join the league in 2012, lost at California 52-17 on Saturday. 5. Todd Dodge, North Texas The not-so-Mean Green lost to Rice 32-31 on Saturday, dropping their record to 0-2.
