  1. Good call, went to a concert there about 5-6 years ago. Holds about 6,500 people which is probably about the right size for a university that has 30-35k students but just getting into hockey. And it's about 15 minutes from campus which is not much further than say CC campus is from its arena. Welp, time to start up the program!
  2. I think it's odd but ok in high school, college not so much. Looking at you 2011 UMD Bulldogs...
  3. Hi there, big Union fan here since 2014. I've probably never cheered for another program to win a national championship as hard as in 2014. Also, Ghostisbehere was a blast to watch and still is playing for Hakstol in Philly. That team was ferocious on the puck and absolutely took it to Minnesota, so much fun to watch. We will forever be in your debt for this... Cheers!
  4. SS melts down for plenty of others things so just add it to the list
  5. Just make sure you stay out of my way next year or I'm hitting into you!
  6. Pretty sure SS sent my reebok authentic to EPS because it took like 6 weeks to get back, but it was well worth the wait.
  7. Going off on a tangent a bit, but so far this year there has definitely been a lack of blocked shots by our 'role players'. I'm hearing about Jost and Boeser getting hurt blocking shots, I remember Poolman getting hurt by a blocked shot in NY but overall our team seems to be lacking in this area. We're being consistently beat in blocked shots this year and I think this needs to change once we get into the Omaha's, Duluth, St Cloud's in the 2nd half.
  8. Toronto is about a 5 hour drive from Union College and Montreal a 3 hr... just sayin
  9. I actually thought we could have score more on Friday and we didn't even have Boeser. Friday was not a fluke, this team can play... when they put their minds to it. That last part has been the problem lately.
  10. I tried to listen to their podcast a few weeks back but when they kept joking about the number 69 and laughing at the joke I couldn't handle anymore. There's a reason they are employed in print and not on radio or tv where they don't have the benefit of editors & revisions to make them appear more refined and succint.
  11. It can be if we get back to playing top 10 hockey, which is about what is required to make the tournament. In other words, if we make the tournament we will be playing well enough that a rabid crowd such as one that will exist in Fargo WOULD be a huge difference. If we go the equivalent 1-3-2 in our remaining home games there won't be a team to cheer on in Fargo and/or Chicago.
  12. Yup, it does feel more like 14-15 then last year to me too. 'Just get in the tourney' is my mantra for this season. Then playing the rest of the tournament in Fargo and Chicago with our great fanbase could put us over the top.
  13. Except the top line hadn't been producing which was a main reason for bringing Pogo to the 1st line and sending Boser to the 2nd line. As someone had said, there's two puck controlling high end talents and only one puck.
  14. There was a quote from Berry that said something to the effect of he looks forward to seeing Boeser back fully healthy in January... and of course now I can't find the article.
  15. Schloss wrote about it in his blog. Basically if they are in the gold medal/3rd place game the day before the Friday game, probably not. However, if they get knocked out in the QF they'll have about 5 days between games. So start cheering for Finland, Sweden, Slovakia etc
  16. Good points, if we can manage a big Non-Con win against Union to put us at 10-6-3 with a healthy Boeser and Jost for the 2nd half I think we're in fine position. The biggest enemy to this team is inconsistency right now so I really hope we start getting more of this past Friday night's team and seeing less of the Saturday night.
  17. Actually thought Gage had one of his better games last night, had a couple good offensive rushes and made some plays to relieve pressure in the d zone.
  18. Absolutely, the guys a clown. WMU grabbed, hooked, interfered and obstructed more than any team I can ever remember watching. They were really little things they did that made huge differences, was like watching the WCHA in the 90s. And the refs let them get away with it most of the game. That being said, we had more than enough chances to win and we completely blew it.
  19. Sounds like it was a Hockey's Canada decision, no way Berry wanted him to leave tonight.
  20. Sure looked like there was from where I was sitting, WMU hardly put up a fight outside of the 1st period
  21. Let's come out strong and make WMU feel right at home! 6-2 UND if Boeser plays 5-3 UND if he doesn't
  22. Not sure if it's a break or sprain but you've definitely noticed him not being as crafty on the breakaways he's had since the Bemidji St penalty shot. Just went five hole each time and got stuffed each time.
  23. With a trip to the Frozen Four on the line, no less. How many fans went to Omaha for the outdoor series? Probably 8-10k? And that's another 4 hours past Sioux Falls.
