Don't hold your breath... The only talk I saw of any conference stuff was some comments about setting up divisions in the Big Sky for football and playing a championship game. The problem with the theory is they completely forgot to include a team and you can't play a conference championship game in FCS if you want to be eligible for the playoffs. So I'd take any "reports" with a huge grain of salt.
-
Doubt they'd do that since they know it would just continue to encourage FargoU fanboys to stalk and go after recruits on social media. There's anyway enough of that going on the way it is.
-
Based on who's opinion?
-
Pretty safe assumption at this point however the offseason is long and anything can happen.

Bubba wants to run the ball and control the clock. To do that, WR's blocking is a huge part of the equation. I think it can be assumed that someone recruited as a WR is going to be able to catch the ball, however not everyone can or is willing to do the tough part of run blocking. And frankly, out of the 3 that signed, Maag is the only one who you might consider a true playmaker. I didn't see the interview, so I can' comment on that, but I've heard plenty of talk from Rudolph about WR's making plays. I'm not saying that the offense doesn't need to improve, take deep shots or get more creative, but that all starts with the OL. Tough to stretch the field or run some of the patterns to create mismatches when the QB doesn't have enough time to take their drop and get set up to throw deep. I don't think the offense is as bad as some on here think it is (and numbers back a lot of that up) but it is almost universal across football for fans to rip the Offensive Coordinator when things aren't going as planned, outside of a handful of high profile offenses.

This is 100% what I was getting at. Thank you for spelling it out better than I could have. The trickle down effect of the injuries hurts every facet of the game. I know that UND will sometimes use starters on kick coverage (Ratelle was always fun to watch), but at some point, when you don't have any back-ups because the third stringers are starting, you have to make sacrifices somewhere. I asssumed people just got tired of blaming the OC for everything so special teams was the next logical spot to look.

I won't get into the hate on Rudolph, no one is going to change their minds but I don't get the hate on Kostich at all. I've heard nothing but good things from players and people connected to the program about him. I get the angst on the QB thing but I guess at this point the alternative was to sign someone they aren't sold on and UND would be their only offer, so no one would be happy. If they are going to do that, there's no reason they can't just do it in February. At least now they have more time to find someone they like.

Guessing the actual license plate will look exactly the same as pretty much every other orgizational plate in the state and not be off-centered like the mock-up.

He's got a bright future. For a RFr who missed that much fall camp, he showed some serious flashes.

Your post was about enrollment. I pointed out that your statements appear to be false based on actual numbers publicly available. At UMass, they were trending that direction well before any FBS announcement and there has been no noticeable change because of the announcement. UT-A and Wichita State are light years ahead of where they were when they dropped football 30 years ago. I don't think that is actually relevant, but they were your example. Because they don't have football, Wichita State is able to pump more money into basketball, which they have become very successful at. It is just as logical to conclude that Wichita State would actually be in a worse position had they not dropped football. Same with UT-A. You could state that resources that were previously going to football have been reallocated and allowed them focus on other areas and that has spurred their growth.

And here I thought we weren't going to see completely negative posts after giving the #12 team all they could handle and taking them to overtime in one of the toughest places to play in the nation. At least you let it build up for 4 days before having to let it out.

Just curious which of those examples you actually looked into before tossing them out there? I'd guess not many since they don't really support what you claim. Coastal Carolina was growing well before they announced any FBS move and the growth rate has been flat or slightly declining since their announcement, which was in the fall of 2015. There was definitely no huge jump in 2016 or 2017 supporting your theory Georgia Southern's enrollment has been flat (actually down 0.8%) since 2012, so they have not seen an increase. UMass has seen a fairly minimal increase since their announcement (5% total over 5 years, average of less than 1% increase per year) and they were increasing before any announcements, so I'm not sure how you can quantify any increase specifically on the move when they were already moving in that direction prior to any announcement or move. Wichita State dropped football over 30 years ago, so I'm not sure how that's relevant but in 2017 they have recently been having record enrollments. However they dropped football in 1986 when they had enrollment of 16,843 and then proceeded to have increases for the next 3 years to a record high of 17,419 in 1989 before seeing any drop. UT-Arlington also dropped football over 30 years ago so again, not sure how relevant that is in today's world, but they too are currently having record enrollments and are around double what they were when they dropped football. However I can't find any historical data that supports a major enrollment drop when they dropped football.

Hopefully he's not still waiting at the airport for that private plane to land....

Very few guys are actually on full scholarship, so they could have been offering him more. 18 full scholarships to split up between up to 27 guys.

Teams were complaining about the new 9 game conference schedule and having to buy 3 home games the years where they only have 4 conference home games. To help with that, they are allowing B1G schools to schedule FCS games in the years they have 4 home/5 away conference games.
-
I've never said that it anything close to that. If I have issues with someone or something I'm likely not going to air it out here but in the off chance I do, I'm actually going to address the issue and not make continuous posts implying something. The fact that you continue to make posts like that and then admit your aren't surprised that someone takes issue with it says a lot. Put your money where your mouth is and provide specifics so people can see what these accusations you keep hinting around actually are. There are plenty of people on here who have enough info to back up your claims or tell you you have no clue what you're talking about. At this point your cryptic messages are just trolling, which you've basically admitted.
-
So you're bringing your vague accusations over to the basketball forums now?

Basically what he said or your interpretation of it to make whatever point it is you are going for? Here is his actual quote: “What attracted me to the Big Sky was they play kind of run-and-gun,” Moody said. “If you can’t shoot, you’re not going to be successful, and that’s kind of how I’d like to play. UND and their system, it completely goes into my style.” Shocker that a kid who likes to shoot was attracted to an uptempo offense that will create open looks from behind the arc. UND's offensive sets are very similar to what SDSU runs. However they have the freedom to run in transition. That doesn't work as well when you have a bunch of new pieces that haven't played together and they can't hit shots. Stewart and Geno are still going through some growing pains at the guard spot. If they can figure it out, they are going to be very good. If not, this team will continue to struggle. Looks like some of the first is finally coming off Dale, so that's encouraging.
-
He didn't go anywhere, he just isn't playing. He's only 6'6" and not sure he has much of a post presence. A little surprised he didn't see a few minutes against NDSU with Seales out but I'll let the staff sort out minutes as they see fit.
-
Daum is absolutely terrific. Hoping Avants can draw a quick charge or two against him. I'm not sure UND has an answer for him, not that many mid-majors do.
-
Which is exactly what Wofford's average was on the year. Didn't watch the game, but their QB had pretty decent numbers for an option QB. The thing you can't do as a one-dimensional offense is get behind multiple scores because you turn the ball over 2 times in a matter of 4 minutes right in front of the opponents end zone.
-
That Georgia Southern bunch seemed to do pretty well being one-dimensional when they were in the FCS.
-
UND was close, needed one more shot to fall and couldn't get it. Missing Seales hurt big time in this one. His game is tough to defend and he's also good on the defensive end. I think having him back flips the results next month. I thought Walters and Brown filled in nice, Kinsey was a little disappointing. Was surprised Brown didn't take a few more 3's, he's got the skills to be the shooter UND is looking for. NDSU hasn't shot anywhere near close to that from the field or especially on 3's all year. Miller is good despite their fans hating on him, they are going to struggle without him next year. AJ finally hit some shots, he's been hampered, but still an all-around player. Flagrant on Stewart was a tough call, though unfortunately probably the right one. Richman not getting T'd up during the game was a bit of a stretch though. Reffing was what it was, UND's athleticism was the reason they spent half the game at the line. The free throw shooting was huge in this one.

Not possible to do in an NCAA sponsored playoff.
