South Dakota State's women's team was one win away from the Sweet 16 2 or 3 yrs. ago; I think it was their first year of eligibility. I believe they lost to Baylor in OT or they'd have been in the Sweet 16, so it can be done. And, yes, it can be done by one of the Dakota schools. Maybe not on a regular basis, but it can be done.

Looked more like good, honest input than harrassment.

I think his post was in reference to the travel involved with respect to the two schools.

That last goal was one of the prettiest that I've ever seen; the goalie never knew what hit him. That was SportsCenter material.

Both Dan and Sioux2013 are excellent supporters of the Sioux BB team. I think Sioux2013's comment was perhaps more of a knee-jerk response to the general negativity that sometimes pervades this thread, even after a good win, than it was to Dan's comment. Speaking for myself, the negativity, especially when things aren't going the way that we'd all like, DOES get old. It would have been interesting to have had a return match with the Bison this month on our home court.

Good point. I saw the Sioux play @ UMKC a month or so ago and, even though they lost to a decent UMKC team after leading most of the game, I was impressed by the potential of this exceptionally young squad, as well as by how hard they played. I think that if this team stays together and adds a couple of more good calibre players, especially bigs, they a have a chance to do more than compete iin our first year of being playoff eligible.

I doubt anyone on this board opposes good debate; that's what interests most of us that are here. That, and the good information that is picked up. It's when constant bashing and harsh criticism is passed off as debate that turns people off. Constantly bashing and harshly criticizing rather than debating accomplishes nothing positive. I enjoy a good, lively debate, as well as the information on recruiting, etc., that some of the posters are able to give the rest of us.
