  1. Thanks for passing this on. I had no idea; this has got to be one of the most corrupt football programs on the planet.
  2. Makes a huge difference when you're getting some pitching. Had a staff ERA of over 8 going into the tournament and all of a sudden our pitchers have only given up a total of 3 runs in two games. We've got decent hitting (team BA of .291), so if we continue to get that kind of pitching, who knows. . . . . .
  3. Right on; one has to block out the regular naysayers and focus on the step-by-step progress that's being made. The schedule gets dramatically better (and tougher) next season (and thereafter), and our last two recruiting classes will start to make their impact, if not this season, next season when it really counts. Go SIOUX!
  4. Thanks. Any guesses as to what size tennis shoes Phil wore back then? He had some serious feet!
  5. Is Rogers the third guy in the picture with Fitch and Jackson?
  6. Looks like we've got our recruiting priorities straight. Hope we bring in at least a couple of more good pitching prospects.
  7. The Sioux scored 46 runs in the four games at Northern Colorado, including 18 in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, and yet got swept. Wow!
  8. Anyone heard whether or not we're pursuing either any of the UNO football players or any of their recruits? I would think there'd be some good talent to be had.
  9. Based on the last 2-3 recruiting classes we've had, IMO we'd be able to compete with them--and beat them--by 2012.
  10. FightingSioux.com doesn't show it yet, but if we have them, too, it makes for an unbelievable home schedule.
  11. Here's how our 2013 home schedule looks already: Montana, Montana St., Eastern Washington, Sacramento State, and No. Colorado. Not bad, I'd say.
  12. Fighting Sioux.com shows Montana @ UND on Sept. 14, 2013 (still NC, I assume).
  13. Are we due a home game from No. Colorado in that we went there last season?
  14. Close it. Please. Pretty please.
  15. Have only been to one game at Allen Fieldhouse before; hopefully, this will be number two!
  16. SIOUXper 5
  17. Agree; I think many of us get weary of the (constant) negativity. Let's at least give them spring practice, fall camp and a few games into the season before passing judgement. I expect at least one of the four to step up and be the quarterback that our offense needs to lead us to a succesful season.
  18. I think the pro-nicknamers are finally holding some of the cards, but I am really concerned that, due to the mixture of pro-nicknamers and neutral or anti-nicknamers in the North Dakota delegation, that the North Dakota delegation won't push the case for keeping the nickname aggressively enough. This may be our last shot, so it needs to be a good one. I think they really need to go on the offensive.
  19. Quit muddying the waters with all those facts. It tends to be a real debate-killer.
  20. I suggest that you or somebody get Capt. Burggraff to help compose another letter to Mr. Faison.
  21. When travelling that distance, I always try to go when there's both football and hockey so, of course, I wouldn't go if there weren't both.
  22. I, for one, plan on driving from Kansas City to Grand Forks for the Montana Western/Ice Breaker weekend in Oct. I love Sioux football and hockey (and basketball) and I'm sure not going to let the fact that we're not playing NDSU, USD, SDSU, or whoever that weekend keep me from going to a Sioux football game.
  23. The point's already been made by UNDvince and others. As to the people who are on budgets, work weekends, etc., they probably wouldn't be attending a good FCS, nonconference home game, anyway.
