  1. One other thing while I'm at it: How many hits to the head does Jost have to take before something gets called!?!?!?
  2. Horse Hockey!! Gage needs to play defense. He has been awful this year. Easily the worst man on the ice tonight. Wolanin and Boeser weren't far behind.
  3. Here's a couple I think are worth noting, trying not to repeat what's been touched on: -I believe it was back in October for the Bemidji series, Poganski was mated up with the two Scandinavians. I thought that line was lights out both games that weekend. Don't know what Berry saw that he didn't like, but I'm not the coach, nor have I seen that line since. -I really noticed it at MSG for the first time, but I've been impressed with Smith when he has played. I think the guy has the potential to fill Poganski's roll when he's done. I like that kid. Flashes of relentlessness, and flashes of good puck possession in a scrum -Speaking of Poganski, he was tossed on Friday night for Interference With Significant Contact. I'll give Shep 3 the interference. But the other part? That is some Don Adam-made-up-BS if I've ever heard it. If he delivers that hit a second sooner, that's as good of a shoulder to shoulder hit as you'll see. The cherry on top? Last night, 3rd period, Gardner eats that exact same hit in front of Miami's net with Shep standing 10 feet away. Nothing. But enough with the guys in stripes. It is what it is... -On a lighter note, we should be able to decline penalties. The PP is beyond painful to watch.
  4. Right. I was just speculating based on what I've seen at other shows I've been to. Eric Church, to put it nicely, ain't my thing, so I've not bothered to look into the seating chart. if it's southend stage setup, then 103/303 around to 106/306 will for sure be limited view.
  5. The last show I went to at the Ralph was the Volbeat/Anthrax/Crobot show in May '15. My seats for hockey are in 306 so I have an idea what you will be looking at. For that show I went to, those sections were part of the backstage area. If they are selling tickets in that section, I'm assuming the stage setup will be "in the round" in the middle of the floor. If not in the round, that section will probably be extreme side stage or obstructed view.
  6. I saw that. Alumni Association get-togethers don't really interest me.
  7. We gotta all take over an establishment somewhere close to MSG for a few and the football game.
  8. I thought he changed his name to Ol' Dirty Chinese Restaurant?
  9. Hoff is the real deal. I like the two Europeans with Poganski. And although Shaw wasn't near the liability that some of you had him pegged for last year, his game is vastly improved! Coming to you live from my seats since day one at The Ralph!
  10. They are? That's great! Then we shouldn't need to be discussing which athletic programs, which were in place long before the oil money started coming in, to cut.
  11. Have fun doing what everyone else does.
  12. That's not what's being written on this board. All I'm reading is no one goes. It's boring hockey. No one cares. And I was talking about my kids having fun. I usually bring them. And if they want to bring a friend, the more the merrier! Don't be fooled. This budget shortfall is a direct result of the unwillingness of those elected officials in Bismarck to change their spending habits. They insist on spending like the oil money from they early 2010's is still coming in. And it stinks to High Heaven! Maybe if some of their programs were cut instead of college athletics, they might change their tune. Although Big Sky travel expenses are part of the issue as well. I think.
  13. Maybe some of you who are talking about "just look at the poor attendance" should start going to some of the games. I go to probably 10-12 home games a year. No, it's not the men's game. But it's an afternoon at the rink, the kids have fun, and it's good hockey.
  14. I always thought it would be pretty funny if we all just turned our backs to the ice when the visitor's starters were being announced.
  15. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Fighting Sioux is gone. I've made my peace with it. We had three years to come up with something absolutely killer! There is NOTHING in the name Fighting Hawks that even resembles a product described in the mission statement released by the committee as far as what they would want the name to represent. It is generic and pathetic at best. If the university wanted to shell out money for a product other than the new logo, they should have paid a company to do a historical study on the region and/or state, and come up with a list of possible nicknames based on that. And the thought that someone would vote for this brown paper bag of a name based on a) an adjective, or b) the idea that a logo that has anything remotely close to something that some uninformed suit at the NCAA would consider native imagery is beyond me.
  16. I was thinking about this a little bit as I was looking at Schlossman's list. Growing up in GF and all the Sioux games I went to at the old Ralph as a kid. The great comeback game against Minnesota in, I believe, '98. Central/Red River games I both, went to as a kid, and played in while in high school at Central (Class if '91 - Last class to graduate as Redskins!). Getting to play in state tournaments in that building. Pretty cool things to experience! I've missed a grand total of 10 home games since the new building opened. So I've seen a lot go on. Oddly enough all 10 games I've not been able to attend were either for a funeral, or I was hunting. SO, 15 years of new cool experiences!! I was a little disappointed that this one didn't make the list. Because it's right near the top of mine! Absolute goosebumps everytime!
  17. Whatever you decide, let me know. I don't wanna double up...
  18. I like Yon, #7. If we can get 12g and 15-20a out of him, that will help immensely! They are mixing up lines now in the second period, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Jost wind up with Brock for the year.
  19. Students: beating on the back of the seat in front of you ISN'T LOUD ENOUGH!! Open your mouths and raise the devil himself!!
  20. Gong show of a game! Much needed win though. Time to mix another cocktail and head over to the BTN for the Nebraska/Northwestern game. GO HUSKERS!
  21. 17-15 Green. 42 seconds to go. Montana ball inside their own 10.
