  1. $875K+incentives/year/NHL, 65K/year/AHL
  2. Yup, as Crash Davis says in Bull Durham, "a person on a streak has to respect the streak." I really wanna wear my green jersey, but after the Friday night mess against UNO in January, I switched to a green hoodie. Gonna have to keep ridin' that horse..........
  3. Couldn't agree more. I sit in 306 and after the 3-2 friday night loss to the goofs, some college kid was walking out into the concourse screaming "F the gophers" at the top of his lungs. I told him to knock that crap off and he proceeded to tell me that if I didn't like it to take my Sioux jersey off and put a gopher jersey on.
  4. Just an FYI as was getting my DVR set for the games. The Hobey award presentation is being televised on ESPNU on Friday.
  5. Wife and I are staying at the Kelly Inn next to the Capitol. 10 Minute walk to the X.
  6. I just checked availability at the Kelly Inn by the capitol building where my wife and I are staying, and, as suspected, booked!!
  7. I'm in Ft. Myers as we speak. If you can find a watering hole with Direct T.V., the channel number for FSN is 668. I'll be at The Boat House, on the 9300 block of Daniels Pkwy just off 75.
  8. Does anyone know if the Final Five will be showed live through fightingsioux.com or foxsportsnorth.com? I'll be kicking it at Disney World with my wife and kids that week.
  9. Oh, I agree. Old Winnipeg Arena was a great place to watch a game.
  10. For anyone who's been there, is the seating as steep as it looks? I've been to 4 - 5 Jets games at the old Winnipeg Arena, and I thought that was steep.
  11. 18 of his 27 are on the road. That's called going into someone else's building and saying, "this is ours and it starts with me." Love that stat!!
  12. Trupp needs one more point to join the 100 point club.
  13. That's how they did it in '09. The presentation was after we took Tech out in the first round of the WCHA. In fact if memory serves, that was the year Tech spent about 10 days here because they were our last series of the regular season and then our first round opponent.
  14. It just confirmation of how the NCAA knows nothing about the college hockey culture. Regionals should be held in nothing other than college hockey cities/towns period. I get that there needs to be a capacity minimum for seating at the venues, but college hockey is a very condensed culture. In my perfect world, the four number one seeds would host the regional at their venues. They've earned it. And secondly the whole "no interconference match-ups in the first round" thing would go out the door. So you've got a true 1 v. 16, 2 v. 15, 3 v. 14, etc. etc.
  15. No, that's my bad for doing a reply to your post. I understood what you were getting at clearly. I just wanted to emphasize that I understand that this thing isn't just about the hockey team.
  16. I should have stated a little more clearly when I started the thread that although hockey is obviously the sport I attend the most, I do go to 3-4 home football games every year, I don't go to basketball games, I attend UND baseball games when schedule permits, and during the years my sister-in-law played volleyball for UND, I caught quite a few of those matches. So I can't speak intelligently on all the goings on at all the sporting events. But the ones I have attended, I have never seen what this man is claiming.
  17. Since the new Ralph opened, I have missed a grand total of six games. THE ONLY people I've seen weainging face paint and bonets are the natives that have performed pre-game ceremonies. http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/sports/ncaa_hockey/und
  18. Will be there regardless.
  19. Probably won't have any bearing on anything, but B.C. did lose last night to Northeastern.
  20. What a gong show that crew was.
  21. Yup. I grew up 4 houses down from Jonesy. Shot a lot of driveway hoops together. You'll not find better guy. Come on Nick! we're rootin' for ya.
  22. Josh Jones, a local radio personality and P.A. announcer for the women's team, had to have his young son Nick life lifted to Fargo from Grand Forks this morning. As some of you may know, Nick's short life so far has been a series of ups and downs. Lot's of thoughts and prayers for Josh, his wife and young Nick.
  23. 32 flippin' people short of 3201!! Look, I know EDC is town, but Red River is in, Central plays at 2:30 this afternoon, and the men are not on T.V. Get out to the Ralph tonight. Bring your head phones or iPod as I did last night and listen to the men's game. Bring your kids. Sioux Club members should have the tickets plus you get one free per Sioux Club card. $7 a ticket if you need more. Go support the ladies tonight!!
  24. I know it's the WCHA and it's not that easy. But it is crucial to close out this series with a win tonight. Especially with Denver having Tech next weekend. Build another early lead and keep the proverbial foot on the throat. Stay out of the box. Last night's game wasn't as physical as I was expecting, (don't get me wrong, there was some solid checking by both teams) but no two games in this league are the same. If anyone from The Ralph is reading this, for the love of The Almighty, could you pahhhlease ease up on the dance music during play stopages and go back to spinning some rock and roll?
