The majority of people in Grand Forks that are familiar with the program, will tell you that Chase isn't regarded very highly when it comes to his coaching ability. He was successful for years because most of the talent was at RR. That being said, there's more to this than just some kids/parents bitching to the AD......that's been going on for years with Chase. Something more happened here for this to occur right before EDC instead of waiting for after the season.

Watched the team for the first time last night (TV of course, not paying $25 for that product). The 4th quarter offense is basically one big And-1 game with either Seales or Stewart barreling down the lane hoping for contact with an occasional Moody 3 point attempt mixed in. Now that I've seen what I haven't been missing it will probably be another couple years before I tune in again.

Subway overexpanded and now it's starting to correct. Grand Forks is actually down a couple Subways now (downtown closed and the one in Subway on 32nd Ave closed). Who would have ever thought the market for bland overpriced subs would cool once tastier options like Erbert Gerbert, Jimmy John's, and Firehouse became more prolific.

Yeah the only unexpected departures will be if Berry makes some hard choices to free up some room.

How do they expect UND to score if they can't interfere with the goalie?

NCHC temporarily want down for me and still buffering some. I hope I don't miss UNDs goal this game.

Definitely a possibility, but I'd still take my chances with him versus the Adams, Yons, Hoffs, Bowens, JJ, Casey Johnson (at forward), etc. Even if Donovan only turned into a Poganski type player (who I thought underperformed during his time here)........that's still a double digits scorer. Think about that for a second, if a player could just score 10 goals in a season he'd have a shot at leading this team.

No, I think if he comes straight from high school it might be a slow first year......but he's a 2nd round talent so there's significant upside after that. I'd rather put up with one slow year by Donovan with the potential for a large payout after that then sitting watching 4 slow unproductive years by half of the forwards on this team.

Stupidity is keeping 4-5 of these punchless forwards for next year instead of bringing in a talent like Donovan.

I'll take that Senden penalty. UND would have needed another 2 periods to score again so might as well try setting the tone for tomorrow night.

Tavaris Jackson could throw the ball as long as any QB in the NFL.......but he wasn't accurate.....in basketball, taking a bunch of 3 point shots doesn't make you a good player.....you've gotta make them.....in baseball it doesn't matter how many times you swing the bat if you never hit the bill. Why do shots on goal matter so much to some?

Schlossman will have to focus his article on how UND outshot Denver drastically.......the first half of the game.

If JJ had a hot coed he must have told her he was Mark Senden.

And UND was gonna send him back to Fargo for another year......

If that line doesn't generate excitement among the fan base I don't know what will lol!

Lol and 6 of those games were against Canisius, Colorado College, and Omaha.....and now as Paul Harvey would say, you have the rest of the story!

This team is so bad that GF Central players are gonna start showing up to parties with the UND player's girlfriends........

Maybe record wise, but entertainment wise this team is definitely in the running for worst since then. Even during the Gino down years, there was usually some very entertaining players to watch (Greg Johnson, Russ Romaniuk, Dixon Ward, McLean, etc).

And people need to stop being surprised that TH is a Homer. His entire identiy is being the announcer of UND hockey and he is smart enough to know that he loses that identity and will be pushed out if he is critical towards the team.

Other then Senden, who I don't think will score quantity, but he will score some big ones, and maybe Hain, this team is hurting next year too. UND has a nice crop of forwards coming in but expecting a couple freshman forwards to carry this team (which they will need to do) is alot to ask.
