I was happy to hear that Mal endorsed Hutter. His positive attitude is refreshing, but we will see where it gets us in the next couple of years!

That is a valid point, but I wonder if the fact that Herter and Jackson were teammates and the fact that is their alma mater doesn't change that. That has been my hunch since they didn't open up the 2nd position yet. Have to wait for Herter's season to be over.

Such a big frame, too bad there was no one to help her develop.

There was a parent on X who said the 8 submitted the portal papers and then Mal stepped down. I don’t know the process to back out of the portal, but was hoping some would opt to play for Hutter.

With the timing of the announcement last night, I wonder if the Western Michigan outcome had something to do with it? Can’t wait two weeks for a coach with the portal opening.

I would guess the Hak was the first choice which meant it had to be opened up.

This seems like a classic what came first scenario. Girls leaving so coach steps down? or coach steps down so girls leaving? I am all for seeing what Hutter brings to the table. Might be a while though if the cupboards are empty.
