  1. Nice to see the dead things out of the race. Typical of a red shirt fan to start stuff like this to even think their team could make it. Not after last years pathetic ending to the Wild. Typical arrogance they can take straight to the golf course. I cannot stand the wings and their own fans...makes me sick
  2. Thanks iceberg and wxman91...I just called her and let her know. She is going to call first thing tomorrow and get some tickets. I live in IA and have to work Saturday mornings so it would be hard to go to the Friday evening game and drive back just to work in the morning. So this will work out good! See you there, Thanks again
  3. Can someone please clarify for me when the Sioux play Thursday and Friday? I have seen some times on here but no dates. I think they play Friday afternoon...is this correct? Thanks, I am trying to find out for sure so I can let my mom know to get tickets for me.
  4. Not sure of any cheap hotels in town. But my parents live the south side of the twin cities metro. I am sure they would be happy to help out a fellow Sioux fan. I will have to ask though
  5. Yeah it is as much of a safety issue as it is dumb. Think about how loud it must be in there for a young baby. I think maybe a 2 or 3 year old would be ok but a baby Some people will never learn. LOL, my friends and I a few years ago got in trouble at the DECC. We had air horns when we road tripped to see the Sioux. The people in front of us, all of which had babies and young children said it was TOO LOUD HMMM, no !@#$ It is a hockey game...anyways we got our air horns taken away LOL COME ON, I can't believe no one else is going to Mankato this weekend to see the Sioux. Anyone else on here???
  6. I am coming up from Des Moines, going with a few college buddies from UND who live in the Twin Cities now...we are normally the loud roudy bunch BTW
  7. Just wondering who will be there in Mankato to cheer for the Sioux. I am coming up from IA on Thursday to the cities and will be down in Mankato for both games. Hopefully there will be a lot of Sioux fans there. And maybe another fight will break out in the stands in front of me like last year I just hope the lady who biched at me last year for taking her seat because it was open and she was late isn't there...TO YOU: NEXT TIME DON"T BRING YOUR 3 MONTH OLD BABY TO A GAME
  8. Yeah, I wish the UND feed was working but settled for the Yahoo one. It is better than nothing but damn, these UM announcers are fools. Bunch of damn clowns
  9. Dude, the second period just started and you probably said that half way through the first. Settle down, they are doing just fine
  10. How about a sign about that "Superman" guy down at the SCSU campus. Has anyone else seen this fool? He wears a superman suit and stands at the street corners in st cloud.
  11. Thanks sprig, I will have to look into this when I order it. Also would this apply to a Direct TV satellite? http://www.undalumni.org/view.htm Or is that for a different satellite? Thanks
  12. They may or may not be partial to UND fans, I don't know. But they are one of the few places in the Cities that has satellite for college hockey and anything else. I have been to a few other places but Sensors is the only place that I have found to have college hockey games on.
  13. I have a question about Direct TV satellite. I am in IA right now and am thinking about getting thie Direct TV. Would I be able to watch the Sioux play while they are at home and away on the road? I have read other posts saying that it is on CSTV or something like that. Is that something I have to order in addition to Direct TV or is it a free service? And what channel(s) would this be on? I am not a fan of satellite but if I am able to watch the Sioux then all the more reason to get it. Plus I am going to get NHL Center Ice since the digital cable here doesn't offer it. Thanks
  14. Ok good, I knew other people do it because I hear them. But for instance I went to an Iowa Cubs Minor League baseball game last week and said it. I got the dirtiest looks, and you know what F-them. I didn't even like the baseball game anyways. Long live hockey Yeah, what else is new with that team? How about the end of the game ice-slap around the circle they stole from UND? Gophers
  15. I was just wondering if anyone else does this at the end of the national anthem. I know at Englestad Arena everyone does it. But what about at other arenas? Other sports? I have found myself, my friends, and my family doing this anywhere the anthem is sung. At the end where it is normally "...the land of the free, and the home of the brave." To, "...the land of the free, and the home of the Sioux." Ever since I left UND I have found myself doing this everywhere. Other hockey games (NHL and college), baseball games (pro and minor), soccer games. And anywhere else it is sung. It's not like I say it loud, but loud enough for people around me to hear it. People look at me like I'm some dumb idiot It's not like I have lost respect for it, its just the way I (we) said it in college and it has stuck with me. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or am I really dumb?
  16. Count me in for the Sioux team only if it is down in the Cities...I would love to go out there and kick some ground squirrel arse I can skate, stop, shoot, and throw down the gloves. I might know some squirrel fans who would want to go as well.
  17. I'll be there with a couple of friends both nights
  18. Does anyone know if there are any radio stations that broadcast the Sioux? I am in the cities so I don't know if there would be. If there is an internet site would you please post it, thanks
  19. Ok I have not been to any games this year because I am down in the cities done with that school Anyways I wouldn't consider a little pushing and shoving a riot. You don't know what a riot is until you get sprayed with pepper spray. I think it is funny that the city of Grand Forks called this last spring fest a riot with students burning stuff and they had to call in the so called "Riot Squad" to break it up. LMAO When we had games at the old arena we would stand outside from like 11:00 am for the Gopher series. It was cold and freezing but we had barrel fires to keep us warm with some good beverages. The doors would open up and everyone would push and shove there way into the arena. That is not a riot, it is merely pushing and shoving to go watch hockey.
  20. Ok, well I did hear on the news tonight that the Alerus center is trying to talk to UND to get them to sell beer in the seats for a bid to make more profit. HUM, sounds like the same problems with the Englestad arena.
  21. You are missing the point I am trying to make. All I am pissed off about is that if they are going to kick the legal college students out of the bar, then why have one since afterall it is a college team in a college arena with college fans. Great sell all the beer you want to make money or whatever, but sell it to the students too, don't rape us like you are so many other things. And if they truly wanted to make it an NHL arena all they would have to do is walk up and down the stairs yelling "Cold Beer Here." Now come on I don't see that happeneing either. The point is that they are shafting the students, dry as they can.
  22. Well if we can't drink in the new rink anyways according to some that have been kicked out what difference does it make. But if they are going to be selling liqour at the arena then ####'t sell it to the legal college students and don't kick us out. And yes UND does have a say in this matter. They own the land so I would assume that they would have something to do with what is sold.
  23. Ah, I must not have been watching that part, I could have sworn it was a delayed call. All I saw was an arm go up, Kohler skating to the bench area, and a goal. It happened so fast I didn't know what happened other than they scored and Kohler was off. That is true that it would have been a no goal if the Kato player touched it. My bad.
  24. It happened so fast so it is kind of hard to explain why it was allowed. I don't know why the mankato player was called but I think it might have been interference. The call was already made because Kohler was skating to the bench and at that time a Mankato player was going after the puck which was right in line with Kohler and the net. And he shot it, and it hit Andy and went right in. And by then he was already in the locker room. I wish I had a better explanation of what happened and why they allowed the goal. But I don't think it would have mattered with the final outcome of the game. Did anyone else see what I saw?
  25. When they asked they were told that there are too many young people in the bar, meaning College students. The reason why I put UND is because it should be since this is a frickin college arena, not an NHL wannabe which they wish it was with all the overcommercialism. It is just a curse to the students and the team.
