  1. Yes, I just switched over! They must have read my post
  2. Mankato feed.... http://msustr0.campus.mnsu.edu:8080/KDOG
  3. If anyone cares...Yes, the UND feed is down. So, I am listening to it from the Mankato feed. It's better than nothing and it is clearer than it was last night...fuzzy. http://msustr0.campus.mnsu.edu:8080/KDOG
  4. Well, looks like once again the audio is down (as of now). Anyone think it will be up and running for tonights game? Or is this the conspiracy to make us pay for the dataflix video? I would love to go somewhere and watch it but I haven't heard if it will be or not. Grrrrr
  5. If its not on FSN tonight. Then will it be on Directv or Dish? I think the Directv channels are 609 or 610. I am in IA and there is a bar near me that has gladly put the Sioux games on before!
  6. Hey, I talked to my friend and he said that he would definately play again. So add two more to the list (me, & him). I think that makes 11 now from reading this thread??? Should be a good game!
  7. Thanks for all the replies. I also found this on ebay for $99.99 made by K1. It is the shiny material like the authentic but the Indian logo looks different. http://cgi.ebay.com/UND-North-Dakota-Fight...1QQcmdZViewItem Not sure, I will probably just get the replica Nike jersey's as the authentic is a bit much. Thanks!
  8. I am going to be buying two Sioux jersey's here soon. I am wondering what everyone on here recommends. I have two Koronis jersey's, one White in the old logo which I have in a frame above my bed. The other is also a Koronis which is black in the new logo. That is the one I wear. The old white one I decided to retire. So now, I want to buy a new white one in the new logo. And the other one I am buying will be for my girlfriend. She says she wants a green one, I said she should get a white one. Anyways, what I am wondering. Is, should I buy the Koronis (shiny) jersey $119.98 (on the UND B&N Bookstore website)? Or the Nike jersey $59.98 (on www.siouxsports.com)? The reason why I ask is because I don't know which one is better as I only have the Koronis style which has the "WCHA" logo on the front (the Nike doesn't). I am sure they are both good jersey's. But is one more valuable than the other? Which one do most of you have? Sorry for the dumb questions, but I am just curious. Thanks!
  9. Here is another vote for ISU...I live in Des Moines and would definately got to some ISU hockey games if they go D1 since it is only a 20 minute drive. My girlfriend and I are planning on going to one of the ISU hockey games here sometime. I think right now it is just a club but would benefit by going D1. Plus it would help the local lack of hockey support here.
  10. Oops, my bad. Matt Greene is #2 for the IA Stars. He was thrown in the penalty box for 2 minutes for roughing it up a little with a peoria player.
  11. Last time I checked, the Twin Cities doesn't shut down for pathetic snow storms like this current one. Yes, it is forming up to be a good storm. But MN doesn't shut down. There has been a lot worse than this one. Get to the game and drink a lot of beer to stay warm
  12. Get to the southern metro, it is snowing like crazy down here (Apple Valley). And I would assume it is snowing at the X too. The southern metro I think is supposed to get about 10 inches. Anyone want to snowmobile to the X with me??? I will be at the game, just wish I had my new camera (fricken UPS is pissing me off now)
  13. Anyone know what time this game is? I believe it is 12:15 at Victory Ice Arena in Minneapolis. I am all set to go as I have that weekend off from work and will be able to play. Forecheck has added me to the list I see...Thanks!!! I am pumped to kick some ground squirrel arse
  14. forecheck I am in IA but I took that weekend off to be up for the Final Five. So if the Sioux team still needs a player I will be up there and would love to play. I will just bring up all my equipment here in IA where I have been playing on a adult mens novice league. I have been playing wing or center if that helps. Just let me know thanks EDIT: BTW, we should get some custom SS.com jersey's made for this like the POI team does.
  15. So true, I remember my friends from the Cities would come up for the Gopher series and we would sneak in all but myself and another person (the two with the tickets). Heck, I even did this for my family including my parents and my 3 sisters. My friends and family did get to see a game in the new arena, but I had to pay for their tickets. Still fun though. What else do I miss about the old REA... 1.) Skipping class on Friday nights to stand in line from 10 AM to 7:30 for the Gopher game. Also did this on Saturday, but did not skip class Damn, that was fun times standing out there all crowded up drinking to stay warm, ordering a pizza to a place in line, eating "Sioux Championship" ice cream when it was -20 out, and the best part...the rush of the crowd into the arena when they opened "one" door. Ah the memories... 2.) Getting front row seats or at least down close to the ice. 3.) Getting kicked out with two other friends for allegedly throwing a hat on the ice after a Sioux hat-trick. Ok, not that I miss this but seriously. What is wrong with the REA security, old and new? They know nothing about the game of hockey and how fans react. 4.) The student section along with the rest of the arena getting into the cheers...yes the entire arena chanting "Who's he, he sucks !@#$" and all the others. 5.) Watching crazy drunks give the opposite team players a hard time in the penalty box as they could stand and yell over the glass. 6.) The fact that we could pack more fans in that stadium than what it was designed for. Too many people, just slide down the bench and if that didn't work, just find the nearest chica and enjoy 7.) Probably the best memory I miss most about it was the game I brought my family to and sat down in the student section. They had a blast, and the students didn't give a rip. 8.) Tradition...need I say more...
  16. Here are four more articles from the Houston Chronicle. Good thing is that Harding has left the hospital. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s...i/aeros/2922553 http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s...i/aeros/2922554 http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s...i/aeros/2924357 Taffe given a 4 game suspension for his hit on Harding. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s...i/aeros/2926302 NOTE: You may have to register to view if you click around on this page for a while. 17. A few years ago when I was up at UND Applebees had Sioux commemorative glasses. It was when the new REA opened and they were inaugural glasses. Do they still have these at Applebees? Of course without the inaugural theme. I didn't know if it was just that year or if they have continued since I haven't been back up there. It would be really cool if they did since I need some new glasses. I think I got about 10 of the mentioned when I was there. Some for me and some for my parents. A few broke tho Let me know and I will have to see if my friend up there could get some and ship them down
  18. '99-'00 Season...mainly because I was going to college up there at this time and they won the championship. I went to all the Sioux WCHA Final Five games
  19. Good luck, well actually it is pretty easy since no one tailgates at the new arena. When I was up there my first two years going to games at the old REA tailgating was awesome. I remember standing outside the arena in line from 10 AM both Friday and Saturday mornings for the Gopher series games at 7 pm That was the best, barrel fires, plenty of adult beverages, ordering pizza to a spot in line, and Sioux Championship ice cream. People even camped out overnight in tents. The temps BTW were well below 0 So don't tell us how to tailgate...we do know how I have been to... Marriucci...it would be a nice arena if it had atmosphere. The fans don't know anything and have the dumbest cheers. Had my Sioux jersey on under my winter coat mainly because we were walking around looking for tickets and no one was going to sell to someone wearing Sioux stuff. But once inside it was on and had the regular people yelling Sioux sucks blah blah. But nothing major like beer getting thrown at me. SCSU...Ah the damn hippy tree hugging protesters. Please get a life. Walking into this arena with Sioux stuff on is actually fun. People for the most part are respectful and will yell a few things. But inside again no atmosphere due to the way it is set up and the fans don't know anything. LOL, one time my friend and I had to scare off a few 16 year old kids for throwing stuff at us. The bars afterwawrds are fun to go to and hear everyone yelling Sioux sucks. But after they get past that they are nice to talk to. Mankato...This arena is kind of set up like SCSU. The fans don't know anything and they really don't have a student section. The Sioux had a bigger student section than they did. We almost had a brawl break out in front of us. Some drunk Mankato fan was picking on a Sioux fan taking his hat and throwing it down. The Sioux fan then proceeded to run up the stairs and was going to beat him up but had more class than that. There is a nice bar down there (forgot its name, I think Irish), they have a BW3 next to the arena which is also nice. And to that dumb lady who brought her baby to the arena yelling at me for taking her seat...COME TO THE GAME EARLY AND DON"T BRING YOUR STINKY KID. Duluth...This by far was the best road trip we took. The fans are knowledgable and get into it. And we had our air horns taken away because the people a few rows in front of us were complaining we were being too loud. Wahhh, AGAIN don't bring your baby to a game....it does get loud. I brought my Sioux banner to the games and enjoyed waving it around after they scored and swept the series. The bar we went to was Blackwoods. Damn, they had the best tasting beer I have ever had and unfortunately they don't sell anywhere else other than the restaurant since they make it themselves. And if anyone else has been to Blackwoods they know that when you go to the restroom you can look out over the bar while taking a whiz
  20. This is what I did when I was going to school at UND. My friends came up to a game for the Gophers series. I had student tickets but couldn't get the 3 of them in. So I just looked on the tickets for sale on the ralph website a few weeks before. Emailed and called different people. And finally found a guy with 4 tickets in the same row and section. They were a little steep $50 each, but it was well worth getting my friends in the Ralph to see them play the Gophs. That is how I recommend doing it. Good Luck!
  21. Keep dreaming The red wings are DUN
