I have 12039 V 4872, if you read the previous page some of my posts and the replies might explain why mine are off. I just did a blind scan on my system and it picked it up. And as mentioned it is labeled FSSN - UND. I have 56% signal intensity with 71% signal quality so I'm not complaining.

Hey Bin, did you get your satellite up yet? I know it may seem like a daunting task. But if all else fails on finding someone to help you install it I would just try yourself. Having bought a fixed dish should make it easier for you because you won't have to deal with the height of the motor and the different angle it can create. If not already mentioned, you may want to contact "Iceberg" or "PSB" if he is around here anymore for any tips. All you have to do is find a signal on the satellite and fine tune from there.

I see, so my setup seems to be operating normally with a little deviation to the norm. Could it be because I may not have turned my LNB (Xtreme - plastic type) the proper amount? I remember when installing it, PSB sent me a diagram stating I needed to turn it a certain amount for it to work. Can this deviation to the normal TP settings have any other affects? Just as long as I can get the Sioux is all I am worried about. EDIT: On the topic of winter...I am amazed at how well the motor works in the winter. I was expecting it to freeze up on me.

Interesting, I screwed up my setup yesterday when it started by setting the time after turning the power off to install a ceiling fan a month ago. I then tried scanning for channels but it said my channel list was full so I did a factory reset. After that I tried to scan for channels and no matter what satellite I scanned on it would not work. It had been setup for a year and was working great until then. I had forgot the settings for the LNB, motor, etc... and I thought it was completely messed up. Last night I messed around with the settings and was able to get a ton of channels on G10 and others that I have never seen before. So maybe screwing it up was a good thing. However, on Intelesat 6 93W the channels I quoted above are not the same TP settings. For instance I have... CBS Newspath at 11718 V 14322 Univ. Network-DR at 11872 V 3511 Macy's 4 at 12183 V 5143 and a Macy's 5 a Fox News channel at 12016 H 3972 I have scanned IA 8 89W and have the regular ABC news. However, doing a blind scan on other sats I get the same channels on some and the some other sats pick up new channels. Why do I have different TP's for the above channels as others have? Am I on the wrong sat or do they have different TP's? I am confused... Hopefully it will work next week...

Anyone have any tickets lower or upper? I am also open to any home game just so we can get up there this year. Thanks

I am looking for two tickets for both nights to either the UMD or the UM home series games. I would prefer lower level. But any section would do just to get us up there in to see the games. That is what I was thinking but I don't want to drive all the way down there and be empty handed. Just an idea, I wonder if any Sioux fan down there could get me two and I would meet up with you on Saturday to pay and get the tickets. BTW, how much are these going for, face value/per game? I have seen a wide range on here, USCHO, and ebay. EDIT: I see, they are $155 face value.

Just thought I would see if this is even possible since I haven't seen tickets for sale just for the championship game on Saturday. We can't make it to the Thursday game due to work. But we are seriously thinking about driving down from IA Saturday morning to go to the championship game. Would we be better off just buying tickets to this on the street? I have done this before at Wild games up in St. Paul. But I have heard horror stories of people getting fake tickets (i.e. IA Hawkeye games). What do you think? Anyone want to sell two seats to the championship game? Go SIOUX!!!!!!!!

Just checked the link in the OP and it took off at 1105 and has 1 hour 29 minutes left. Destination: Fargo, ETA 1230 I wonder if they are trying to get close and see if the weather gets better in GFK.

damn, sorry to get your hopes up thinking it was at 230. I need to look at the schedule. I did another search on the cable. There is the east regional game at 5 in NY, midwest regional in MI at 730, and a midwest regional at 10 in grand forks. wtf, looks like I am screwed to. So does this mean that the FSSN on FTA is also out? More than likely but I can also sling that.

Yeah!!! I did a search on my Mediacom cable here in Iowa and they are showing the NC$$ West Regional semifinal game at 2:30-5 on CSTV 178. That is the Sioux game I am sure. Is this correct? Ok, to anyone who is in an area (i.e. Twin Cities, etc...) who can't see it due to a Wild game or certain cable company f-ups. I may possibly have an offer for you. It requires that you have high speed internet and to download the software for it. But I have a Slingbox (as discussed earlier in this thread). I am willing to let you watch it if you want! Just a not though...only one user can watch one Slingbox at a time. Yes, I know it sucks but that is the way it works. I say possibly above because I am going to find out if my parents or one of my friends in the Twin Cities want to watch first. Please PM me if you are interested and I will let you know.

LOL, hmm not sure if you could hook up a quadrophonic stereo to it, not unless it had a/v outputs which I doubt. Sure, you can install anything in a Pacer. Does it have an 8-track player? I am sure you could hook up a harness to that and hook it into the slingbox. Then you would have to buy a satellite or cell phone based internet to sling what you are listening to anywhere in the world to your friends. Ok, actually it is a device to take any audio/visual (cable, satellite, radio, etc...) and "Sling" it across the internet to anyone with a computer and the Slingbox software downloaded to their computer. It takes high speed internet on both sides for it to work. But when it does, it is cool. I watched the Sioux play hockey down in Orlando out by the pool on my fiances computer drinking adult beverages this past fall. Yeah, my fiance thinks it is a bit much to have the FTA satellite hooked into the slingbox watching it anywhere in the world. I have also watched them play at coffee shops. Basically anywhere with wifi works. There have been people watching their home cable on an airplane at 37,000 feet! This is the model I have. I think I am going to get the Pro version so I don't have to switch so much. Slingbox

I have a Slingbox but I don't know if it will be on in Iowa. I have both CSTV and the FTA for FSSN. I guess time will tell if it is going to be on and broadcast to IA either by CSTV on cable or via satellite feed to FTA.

I just sent that link to my mom who is from IL and has a niece that went to school there. They were all there for that football game and believe me, we all feel the same way you do. I had tears in my eyes just watching that video.

This is sad I am happy I saw the dance once in my life before the PC crowd took over. I was able to see the Chief Illiniwek dance during halftime at the Iowa @ Illinois football game last September. Here are a few pictures The dance!!! And a few protesters before the game...

The best thing to do would be to just deny accepting one of those posters. If you do though, carefully look it over and if it has a discrepancy...just hand it back or throw it way in the trash. Why stoop to their ("big city snobs") level?

Yeah, I went there a few times for games when I was dating my ex-girlfriend. I remember walking in with my Sioux jersey on proudly and there were protesters lined up the sidewalk to the front doors. The idiots were yelling and screaming holding racially motivated signs...I just walked on by saying to a few of them "nice propaganda your administration feeds you, and to go hug a tree." Seriously, anti-Semitism runs wild there and the NCAA should investigate "hostile and abusive" behavior there...yeah right
