  1. https://waterlooblackhawks.com/news/2023/9/21/general-chyzyk-hawks-agree-on-extension.aspx
  2. A few people here have mentioned that Raboin was the assistant responsible for bringing in top recruits. So maybe Jax is responsible for ##### and ###### coming in next year that are huge gets. So firing Berry but keeping and promoting Jax makes sense if you want to keep those guys. That he landed. We still don’t know who he has lined up WHL wise that could be enormous as well. Just food for thought here.
  3. So do we still get to make the NODAK sweaters the primary uniform?
  4. Not the only option but definitely should be the first option. His job to accept or not.
  5. I have the best plan. Call Gavin McKenna and tell him he gets to pick the coach for next season on a one year deal.
  6. Maybe our next coach will win the natty with Berry’s recruits
  7. Sacha ain’t going anywhere. One more year at UND and then off to the Windy City
  8. Yes. I think you have to. Since Berrys first day as head coach 9 years ago, only 6 college hockey coaches have won a national Championship. He’s one of them and only 5 remain. His win/loss record and conference championships also increase this credential.
  9. DC does of course. I was replying to a post that said he beats Bubs most the time…. And that’s not the case. I think Berry is the only coach in the country DC has a losing record to. for the record, I think DC is one of the top three coaches in college hockey and should be a HC in the NHL very soon.
  10. DC is a great coach. But he does have a losing record against Bubs overall. Just saying…
  11. WHL please . And over 6.3 “
  12. I’m not sure why I’m taking the time to reply to this. I guess it’s just to help people think a little. First off, Berry has ran many different “systems” since he has taken over the program. It mainly depends on his roster as to what they are running as well as the opponent. As far as his current style being a “bad system”, old school, unwillingness to change, games passed him, no freedom or creativity, etc. Then explain what Jaxon Blake was doing out there under Berry less than a year ago? You know, the freedom he had to pretty much do what he wanted all the way to 60 pts and a Hobey Hat Trick finalist! Did Berry hold him back? Was his “system” unfavorable to the makeup of his team and his star player? No. And as far as him not developing players for the NHL and them regressing… see points about Blake above. He came in a 4th round pick who some on here were asking for him to be benched for being selfish and turning over the puck. Some also said he needs to stay another year. Some commented he will have a nice career in the AHL or Europe. He’s currently 3rd in NHL rookie goal scoring and is on Carolina’s top line with Aho and Rantanin and 1st PP. Berry developed him into a first line NHL’er. Same goes for Tyler Klevin who some on here said he wouldn’t sniff the NHL. He’s been a mainstay. Brad Berry has done a great job ideveloping college athletes into pros. He has been a great coach and this man has forgotten more about hockey than most people know. With all that being said, I don’t disagree that he has had a bad year obviously. Us fans are frustrated with the performance of our favorite team. Berry deserves the criticism he’s getting. But let’s not stretch it here into something it’s not.

When I think of divers, Jacob Cepis always comes up first in my mind.
  14. 97% of the time, it’s the players on the ice that decide the outcome of the game. 2023 National Championship. Rand out-coached the crap out of Bob Motzko .
  15. I don’t know the numbers for this season or the last couple but when my son was playing NDHS in 2021 I don’t think South/Shanley had any players on their roster that went to school at South. If they did, maybe one or two. They were all Shanley students.
  16. F that style. Give me 6 Troy Stechers that never glide and always try to get to the puck first.
  17. Kinda funny reading this thread. While losing, all mentions were its Berrys fault, not the players. After the comeback win, all comments are about the players doing it. No coach mentions. Lol. So berry is only responsible for the bad parts of the game and has nothing to do with the good. Got it.
  18. Berry is playing this weekend? I didn’t realize he still had eligibility..
  19. I predict two high scoring wins this weekend. Like 7-5 , 6-4 ish…
