And that's a big part of the equation that gets overlooked, it's not just the football requirements, it's a move up in caliber of all sports as far as facilities and money. More coaches, more recruiting, more travel, better facilities, etc... Many millions up front and many millions every year.

There would be a lot of hurdles before they could even think about making that move. You have to average 15k attendance, which the Alerus doesn't hold, so there's two issues. The increase in cost is estimated between 4 and 5 million/year so that's an issue. You realistically need to have some history of success at the FCS level to even get a look from a FBS conference, and obviously that is an issue. Not saying it could never happen, but it's many moons down the road right now.

IIRC we looked at this before and if he attended the CC part-time his eligibility wouldn't start, only if he was a full-time student. My guess would be the NCAA made the rule like that so kids who need a few credits to be eligible could get them without losing a year of eligibility and making them less attractive to prospective schools. Makes sense.

I've wondered about that other places too, maybe they take a lot longer to bake or the cost is a lot more because of ingredients? I really don't know, just guessing. There is a place we used to eat at in Canada when we fished up there that had pizza so thick you could stick your fork in it and the tines would be completely buried, I wish I could find a place like that somewhere when I'm traveling.

I'm not sure who Weber loses but Montana loses Cherry and Ward so they should come back to the pack a little, really UND should be in the hunt for home court next year based on their play recently, that would be great for the program.

I've been a Sioux hockey fan longer than almost everybody on here (showing my age), and although it hasn't always ended the way I would like, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Almost every year I come into the season thinking it could be a NCAA Championship year, even last year when I was expecting a very average record the team came within a game of making the Frozen Four. Have the losses hurt? Damn right, certain ones in particular are hard to forget. The Michigan loss took a long time to get over, in fact I'm not sure I'm over it yet 2 years later. But in the end I would rather live and die with a team that year-in year-out puts a team on the ice that is a threat to win it all than follow an average team that makes a great run and wins one every x-many years...or only one ever. Keep the faith people, #8 will come...hopefully this year.

If Jordan wants to play next year he'll have to appeal to the athletic conduct committee to be reinstated, which should be a formality now that the trial is over. I think spring drills start in about 2 weeks so things might move quickly if he decides to appeal. There would be no competition if he decides to play, he is among the best dual-threat QB's in the league, and much better than any other option we have.

Yeah Bucky has been playing pretty decent lately, won't be easy points there. Taking off the green glasses I would say the Goofs and Clowns tie for the title a game ahead of us...Minnesota sweeps and SCSU and UND both split on the road...HOWEVER if we beat Mankato and Bucky beats SCSU Friday then both UND and Wisconsin (where did that come from?) will have a shot at the title and anything could happen, and the Wisconsin crowd will make things very unsettling for the Clowns...should be interesting. What a great race to finish our last season in the WCHA, win two this weekend and let the chips fall.

Agreed, when they're all alone with the puck and flip it in the stands it should be delay of game every time.

Did I miss something? Is the season over? I thought we still had a chance to win the league? And the NCAA tournament? Guess not.
