absolutely, I was a swimmer at a D3 school which is the same with no scholarships and there are ways around it. I had most of my expeneses covered in grants, student loans and academic scholarships. of a 15k bill for one year all but 2k as covered and with others most if not all was covered.

well the last time the gophers beat UND in a heartbreaker in the frozen four(1979) the following year UND came back and won the whole damn thing. wishing for history to repeat itself.

has the frozen four lost it's luster a little bit? lots of empty seats and tickets have become easier and easier to come by the past few years.

I'm hoping the UND team that showed up fri at DU and the Miami series at the Ralph is the team that shows up on Thurs. I really like our chances if that happens.

I'm not sure that game was the loudest. That moment and leading into UND's game agianst Michigan that night was definately the most electric the Ralph has been. There have been some Gopher games where it has been just as loud if not louder

IF UND beats Minnesota next Thurs and faces BC in the final, I will not be at all surprised to see Mitch in the lineup for that game. But first things first.

on their blogs they can be as biased as they want to be. as for things published in the actual paper Brad is very unbiased. in fact he calls it as he sees it for the most part even in his blog and during live chats. Goon has actually tones down his his bias since he got his credentials.

and I'm sure he picked UND over Michigan in 2011 as well. He also likes Dowd to win the Hobey. who cares what these talking heads have to say or who they pick. I'm willing to bet there won't be a lot if anyt hat would pick UND to win next Thurs. I like our chances against them in a one and done, if it were a seven game series or five game series for that matter I might feel differently.

Sioux Hockey first got my attention as a seventh grader during the 1987 frozen four as that was the first time I had ever seen or heard of UND hockey living out west. I watched games on TV periodically over the years and then in the fall of 1992 I came up for a Sioux-Bison football game and my friends took me to my first game at the old ralph that night. I don't remember who they played it was like Northern Michigan or Northeastern or something like that, but from that point on it has become an obsession as my wife says.
