I'm not that concerned with our defense not scoring a whole lot, right now In '97 we really din't have an offensive defenseman other than Curtis Murphy and in 2000 we really didn't have any. Our most successfull squad under Hak(the 2005) squad didn't have much offensive power either and they made it to the title game. let's keep in mind that Hak is trying to run a 4 forward power play on the first unit so really the only D-man that will probably get scoring chances right now is Genoway-who is our only offensive threat anyway on the blue line. We were really spoiled the last couple of years with chorney, Bina and Genoway on the Blue line racking up points. when Joe comes back he will add a physical presence not a a scoring presence. by years end Genoway will have roughly 30 points and if Miller stays on the Blue line he probably will be in the 20-30 point range as well. Our main concern on d right now is getting fundamentally strong to avoid defensive lapses that lead to the other team scoring. If we gan get our d back to the point of the last several years of allowing roughly 2 goals a game this squad could go far as one has to think the pucks will eventually start going into the net on the offensive end.

what kind of style of hockey do the dogs play, is it an up and down or defensive clog up the lanes style like uaa?

how about Hak just getting everyone on the team to shoot the G$$ Damn puck, I saw last night numerous opportunities to shoot the puck and the guys tried to skate in closer or passed it off instead of taking the shot. When is a shot a bad bad shot? just throw the puck at the net and good things can happen.

I believe both games are being televised, fri on wdaz and sat on fssn. I could be wrong.

are you sure they were fighting dq's all I saw on the chn boxscore were some game misconducts, no fighting dq's.

it didn't hurt BC to ride Muse the entire year last year. BE kept the game close last night as I think I could count at least three good odd man rushes he brushed aside.

for all those thinking a second half run is a given this year-just look at our schedule as it doesn't have the ingredients for that as it is much more difficult than any second half schedule we've had in hak's tenure. bsu-one of these years they will beat is this it? for arguments sake we sweep minn-we don't sweep the gophers at home mtu-possible sweep for us but then again we lost to aa at home du-split more than likely as they are the most dynamic offensive we will face scsu-we don't sweep the huskies on the road msum-possible sweep but mankaot plays us tough aa-if we can't sweep them at home how the f### will we sweep them on the road cc-when was the last time we swept cc at home? wisc-when was the last time we swept wisc on the road? for arguments sake again the we sweep 3 of these and split the rest this gives us a 12-6 second half record, 13-7 if you count a probable split at the GLI. based upon where we are now and go .500 till x-mas would put us at 21-17 and haveing to sweep our way through the wcha playoffs which would be doubtful. three game win in first round and 2-1 in st. paul puts us at 25-19 and very bubbilicious to make the tourney.

we gave away a golden opportunity to pick up some points onts on um,cc, and du last night agaianst a trational bottom feeding team in our own building. I can guarantee you that next weekend cc doesn't lose a game to the seawolves. why is it that we lose games at home against terams we should beat.
