odonell's may or may not be season ending at this point. they said they would know more the following week after it happened and we haven't heard anything since. they announced rodwell was done as well as grimaldi so need to hold back on this one. it might be serious but he could also be back later this season.
isn't it ironic or however you want to call it but Hak's best coaching job may very well end up being for nothing at the end of the season. no home ice, no final five appearance, no ncaa's, no frozen four and obviously no national title. this season sucks so far .
needless to say tonight's game is HUGE-a win an we have hopes for home ice and things beyond, and with a loss home ice starts to look dim and probably start to look towards next year.
hak was not happy at all with dell's performance last saturday and I think he sent him a message. eids is not the reason we lost last night. the inability to score was again was.
according to Brad-o'donnell,forbort,grimaldi,rodwell and probably parks are out for this weekend. sheez, maybe hak and motzko can just agree to play 3 lines and two d pairings.
agreed, anything more than two points this weekend and I'll be happy considering our health situation. I don't care how the gophs are playing they are a full squad and we aren't at this point.
this should make oxbow smile-maybe the sioux with all thier injuries can pull off a what the packers did last year and win the whole damn thing despite have an ungodly amount of injuries.
it's one thing to be skating shorthanded versus harvard and possibly clarkson, but needless to say we need to have healthy bodies versus the gophers and any other wcha team. if grimaldi isn't even skating yet hard to see him back anytime soon. yikes.
so here's my question-what the heck was knight doing back in the lineup if he was only good for what four shifts. obviously whatever injury he has was healed yet to the point where he could go a full game.
I'm still trying to find that something in this team that tells me they are going to be a good team- our d and goaltending suck which is ironic because that was supposed to be the backbone of this team, our offense is one line(mainly one person) and we spend way too much time in the box which results in key pp goals for the other team. everyone keeps saying it-but the results aren't there. I keep hearing "we're young, we're young" well denver was young last year and didn't suck. I know it's only october but we may be on the verge of starting to dig ourselves a hole in which we may not be able to get out of this year.
I will and is it hak's fault the players on the ice at those moments had mental breakdowns? how about laying some of the responisibility of this loss on the players who decided to just stop moving their feet?
