That wasn't a 5 minute major. I could find 5 million hits like that that were called boarding, or not whistled for a penalty at all. SCSU guy wasn't in danger, he purposely collapsed to draw a penalty and it worked. Schmaltz barely touched him.

I've seen that hit called a boarding, or nothing. Never seen it called a 5 minute major. These refs are an embarrassment for college hockey, again. Unbelievable

The referees job is to be consistent.

It's a shame that the green ones aren't so hot, this year. The green Sioux jerseys were so distinctive and iconic to me. They were the road warrior jerseys. I guess it's tough to top a Sioux jersey.

Just saw a picture of them from warmups. They look a lot better than I thought they would just from seeing them laying flat.

I get that Gothberg is a highly regarded prospect and everything, but it's also about winning right now. I wish Hak would've played Saunders last Saturday. Maybe we would have won both games and won the H2H Pairwise comparison with BU, which is a pretty big deal for the national tournament picture. but, I'll leave it to the coaching staff. they know more than I do.

I don't know which is the bigger reason, all I know is that I saw us getting too cute and practicing our puck-chipping skills when it looked like we had better options. For this team, the best defense is a good offense, IMO. I do wish that Gleason would've chipped it somewhere instead of giving it away down low on that goal against. If we can learn from this loss and not make the same mistakes again, it will have been worth it

Yes! these were my thoughts exactly. When we were pushing and playing Sioux hockey, BU was bottled up and it was like we had them pinned down against the mat. And then Hak told them to try to be Wisconsin. But we aren't Wisconsin. And we let BU up off the mat.
