I doubt it. You cannot tell me that Gopher fans have not been waiting for this game for awhile and with it being at Mariucci arena, its going to be the hottest ticket in town.

I was just saying that was the rumor going around that he probably heard. Like I said earlier; now that the Blackhawks and Kings season's are over, we will have a clearer picture on who is staying and who is leaving.

No, I believe what you read was the Blackhawks team physician is doing his surgery, which indicates that he is leaning towards signing.

That's so stupid, the biggest home game for the Gophers in the past few years and they might move it to some "$h!t" time! It just shows that UND should not join the B10 (not that they ever were anyway). When the conference values other sports over hockey, you just say no! Gopher football sucks and college hockey is to be played Friday/Saturday.

IF baseball is saved, how does it affect the future? Will recruits want to come to North Dakota only to see their program on the chopping block each year? What happens when MGR Dodson wants to leave because he is tired of the instability of the School/Progam? For me their are just too many questions that make it worth saving.

Kings and Blackhawks seasons are done, I am willing to bet that LaDue will sign as will LJ. Schmaltz is a dark horse who hasn't ever really indicated which way he was leaning. If I were a betting man, I would bet on him coming back. Disclaimer: I have no knowledge of any of these players and what they will do. My statement is based off of observation and past experiences with players like them.

For him to take this long to make a decision, makes me think he thought loooooong and hard about leaving.

Gwoz was a great coach and the reason I think he is taking his time getting back into the college ranks is due to him being selective (as he has every right to do so). He was basically ran out of Denver by some uneducated AD that thought she knew better.

I only used the word "king" because that's how some people around here still treat Blais. Yes, he was a great coach that turned the program around and won us 2 national championships but his last championship was 16 years ago. Berry is an excellent coach who will keep the winning tradition alive and well around here but some people on this board live by a double standard. There is no reason Hak should be treated the way he is by our fan base. The things he has done for this program and how he set them up for the future will be forgotten by some fans but not me.

What did Hak do? Sit at home and do nothing? Blais also had the benefit of a $100 hockey palace, actually every hockey team in D1 hockey has a $100 hockey palace! If you can consistently take pot shots at Hak, then I say that Blais is fair game.

UND hasn't had a down year in hockey since King Blais brought us that 16-19-2 winning season back in 01-02.

No, what I am saying is Hak kept this program at the top, every year he was here. I did say that other people would have a valid point for making the argument that BC was more successful. What your not understanding (due to your hatred towards Hak) is the kind of success he had. With all the parity in college hockey, what coach at UND or any University can say they were year in and year out one of the favorites to win, during Hak's tenure? You got your wish, Hak gone and a national championship. If UND has one season that is under .500 and miss the NCAA tournament, you better be calling for Berry's head (not that I see that happening).

If we ended up being a lower seed, we don't go to Cincy and we sure as heck wouldn't have played Michigan or Denver.

I think Grimaldi was slightly overrated as a college player. Skated fast and moved around a lot but always was pounding his stick on the ice as if he thought he was going to score every time he touched it. Never really got the vibe from him that he was ever fully "on-board" at UND.

Jamestown does not have the infrastructure to facilitate a full fledged D1 program. I imagine D3 would be the highest they could go.

UND isn't going to the B10 unless it gets TV revenue and with the Midco contract coming up, does UND take everything in-house and sign a deal with Fox? I just saw this and it got 500 questions running through my head all at once!
