There is a lot to read, and I honestly do not want to go back and read it all, so if this has been covered, I apologize. What if most of these players that are entering the transfer portal have been told by the staff that they should enter it? Let's be honest most of these players that are entering it didn't play or were not overly exciting as players and Berry think's that they aren't going to get better. The portal has been a detriment to college sports, but it also is a good way to clean house from players that aren't cutting it anymore.

75 schools that have D1 men's lacrosse and all of them are pretty much out East. You thought women's hockey was expensive, lacrosse at UND would more than likely have a huge cost just on travel alone.
-
anyone can retweet anything they want without thinking about it. The fact remains that ever since the Gophers went to the B10 any rivalry that was had with WCHA schools is no longer. If you and I were sitting at Willy McCoy's (enjoying 2-1 in Bloomington) watching the UND/Gopher game this past season, you could honestly tell me the players for the Gophers like you would've back in the day when Riddle, Potulny, Vanek, Tallackson, Guyer, Brigs, Martin Vannelli, Peltier Wheeler, Stoa, Chucko, Pohl, Anderson, Hirsch, Frazee?

This was not Cheer's and everyone saying goodbye at the end of the night to Norm (aka Eades), he made his own bed and was let go by Hak.
-
I'd be willing to bet that the intern who wrote that will probably be retracting that tweet...
-
I would say that we haven't been rivals since we went our different ways years ago. I remember watching the Sioux/Gopher games back in the WCHA and you knew who played for the UofM but nowadays, I am willing to bet majority of us UND fans couldn't name more than 3 players on the team.
-
Or how about the one's that are complaining about the pairwise and wanting to get rid of auto-bids because UND wasn't in the tournament...
-
These are the trendy things to wear nowadays
-
They certainly should have a larger media market to utilize but when majority of the metro does not give two craps about UofM hockey (and it shows due to fans not going to games), who's going to know these hockey players that are promoting products? The businesses in Grand Forks should be lining up an NIL program for UND's athlete's (be it hockey, BBall, Football). The athletes in Grand Forks are the closest thing to professionals Grand Forks will ever see on a regular basis and businesses like Hugo's, Rydell's, Italian Moon, Grand Auto Mart, Wahlen's, North Dakota Eye Clinic, Scheel's, etc.. should be wanting to utilize these athletes. UND cannot afford to sit back on this and not utilize this NIL to further our programs.

You are correct, Miami has regressed ever since that runner-up finish and it doesn’t seem like the school cares.
-
It's not like Miami of Ohio is making the league strong (8-24-4). Rico is only in his second year and needs another year or two to fully implement his system with his own guys. Let's also no forget that Augustana is going to have a D1 program here soon. Might not be the prettiest team to start out but I believe they are showing the hockey world they want to compete right away. They even have their own NIL marketplace for their student athletes. If the NCHC truly wants to this tournament to continue they need to start looking at local teams. This notion that fans from Western MI, and Miami are going to come to St. Paul (even if their teams don't make it) to watch the conference tournament is a pipedream.
-
For a school that pissed and moaned to get into the NCHC, they should be one of the biggest supporters.
-
I'm speaking about the fans. It's unbelievable that they couldn't get in their cars for the 77 mile trip to support their team
-
If they add St. Thomas you might as well go for Mankato
-
can't be any worse than St. Cloud

Exactly! Adidas is getting out of the NHL deal because it costs them a lot of money with very little in return.
-
Adidas never actually produced jerseys anyway, they just slapped their logo on it (which is a very common practice in the hockey jersey industry). I believe the actual manufacturer of the Adidas jerseys was SP, which in turn will create the new Fanatics jersey at their factory in Canada. A lot of jersey collectors want the jerseys that are made in Canada as they are the official on-ice ones. Jerseys made in Indonesia or elsewhere are just the cheaply made (fabric is terrible) ones that most fans buy off the rack. The made in Canada ones are rarely sold to the general public as one needs to have a huge order/demand for them, UND is fortunate to have that demand though.
-
Adidas is just getting out of supplying jerseys for the NHL, they still could supply to other leagues that uses them. Fanatics will be using the same factory that Adidas uses in Canada to make their on-ice jerseys.

Johnson and possibly Hedquist now...we will be back in the portal pool

Again, you are moving the goalpost to fit your narrative. You asked how many of those numbers were done before UND had a program going and the answer is zero. Now you move the goal post to say how many were won before UND won their title? There was never any mention about time frames, the original question was all about both program's overall history.
-
Michigan won their first title in '48, UND was varsity program in '46.
-
Now we are getting somewhere. When you originally stated your question, you had no boundaries or anything, you just asked historically which program has been better. I did say they were consistent since winning one in 1998 but I wasn't arguing that they were better than UND since then, I actually said Denver and Duluth were. If the cutoff is 1998-present, yes UND has been more than "slightly" better than Michigan. But again my response was to yours saying which programs have been Historically better.
