  1. Bison fan here. Serious question, will the NCAA agreement in anyway keep from playing for the Nickel?
  2. RPI........ http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2014/conferencerpi
  3. No arguments on either point. The gap will surely widen with the Summit, but there is little NDSU can do about that; UND will be in same boat with the Sky which is a much worse BBall conference thus an even wider gap. The fascinating part of this is UND will likely be one of the few schools in a "mixed" situation with potentially hockey players getting more from scholies than football, BBall, etc. It will make for some challenges for Faison and I just hope UND does not put in the increased cost on the backs of their students.....
  4. Yet another convert who will not let pride destroy the UND football program. My work here is done.
  5. Come over to Bisonville and read the discussion. I don't think it will be that simple. I think it is likely this will fall to the conferences to decide. I thought the same as you, but then it was pointed out that women's hockey is WCHA....good luck on getting that approved.....
  6. It is quite refreshing to see a poster who gets it. (Well, Shawn-O gets it too; Shawn-O, we need you back on Bisonville.) The only part I think you are off on, is UND does not need NDSU to come to GF to help reduce what you called the "illusion." Thus why I am shocked UND did not agree to two games in Fargo; a competitive showing versus mooU is exactly what your program needs. NDSU has very little upside on any of this.
  7. You guys need to help this NDSU fan out: Why do you feel entitled to play NDSU; particularly have NDSU come to the potato dome? Drop the requirement of a return, and I am sure NDSU would play ball if two games in Fargo.
  8. We are actually have a very good discussion on what this means for UND hockey at Bisonville since this is now approved. It is quite likely UND will be much more affected than NDSU as it is very likely the NCHC will have to go to "full cost" schoolies to keep up with B1G. How your University pays for that and stays compliant with Title IX will be the trick.
  9. Excellent point, Darell. No need for NDSU fans to worry on this anyway as if he picked UND over NDSU just as you say, he clearly has decision making problems.....
  10. That, my friends, is the Bisonville definition of "butt hurt." Thank you Goon, for clarifying.
  11. The sad truth of this game, which I watched the whole thing, is both those teams would be destroyed by: NDSU SDSU Missouri St. Southern Illinois If NAU is supposedly a top big sky program, it will again be a short playoff run for the sky.

    NDSU jokes

NDSU decided to play UND. UND won.
  13. Good grief, WTF are you guys talking about. 5 year extension for the Muss. This team is clearly the best team in the state of ND. Good grief, you see how NDSU struggle against Lennon in Carbondale? We would crush them!
  14. Man, I just can't resist, but what percentage of times do you think a player that has sholie offers from both UND and NDSU goes to UND over NDSU? It has to be close to 50% for your point to have any merit.
  15. Guys, I appreciate the spirit, but your football program will never be as good as NDSU's. Simply, you care too much about hockey to have the will to do what is needed. Best case is you will be a middle of the road Sky school. Really, not intended as a slam, but this is the best you can hope for.
  16. Well, I am sure that Sioux Falls teams was really, really tough. Those boys for UND played their butts off. We cannot ask for more.
  17. Time to can Hakstol. He just can't get it done in the big game. Go Dogs!
  18. I can certainly understand that perspective. My point was more of how hard it will be to get any fans to those home games. Did NDSU ever have the weak of a home schedule when in transition? I don't remember although I know that had at least a few of these kind of joke games. Would be great if someone went back an looked to see if they ever had this bad of a home schedule. I am too lazy.
  19. Wow, I feel so bad for you guys. (No smack intended.) You are a long, long way from your glory days in the NCC. I am betting you a wishing the Big Sky schedule started this year?
  20. You guys should see the work Bisonville has put into this. Here is the link: http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22811 Great examples of wording and ideas folks can use in contacting their legislators. This is an issue that all Bison and Sioux fans must unite to defeat. You will see that Bison fans are running rings around you from a grassroutes perspective.....are you going to let the moo-u'ers have all the fun in getting this bill killed and then take the credit? Time for the Sioux fans to do the same and start posting their e-mails/responses here. Let's kill this stupid idea. Never "assume" something like this will die until it is dead!
  21. Wow, and some think the hatred is dead........Jensen was great in the second half. I promise not to post again until either NDSU or UND beats MSU. Which will happen first?
  22. Man, oh, man. Your hatred for everything NDSU is clouding your judgement. I certainly think MSU has the edge, but this is a young, hungry Bison team. If Jensen plays well, all bets are off on the outcome. I admit that I can't figure out what happened to UNI, but figured WIU would win. (They are darn good.)
  23. What was up with the shooting after the whistle penalty? Seemed like a pretty crappy home town ref call.
  24. Point taken, but NDSU and SDSU are basically on the border and USD is not far. Further, UNI is close, too. Wisconsin is Wisconsin, but tons of Illinous teams on there border. Look at a map, and you wil see the issue. Can it be overcome? Maybe, but no way anyone can argue this helps. That is simply happy face talking. And yes, Big Sky is clearly better than being idependent.
  25. Shawn-O, let's be fair. First, Wyo was clearly stating he understands that UND did the only logical thing. And yes, NDSU would have done the same thing years ago if offered. He never said anything to the contrary. However, the idea that what happened is a good thing for UND? My goodness; UND is now on a conference island and will have very limited exposure in MN and WI. That is going to be a huge challenge. Games against Montana schools will be cool and draw fans, but that is about it.
