22-44, 0 TD passes, and 2 INTS against the Eagles, the second of which was priceless. Seconds after Tony Kornheiser starts spouting off about how "exciting" Brett Favre is, ol' #4 chucks one over the middle into a see of Eagle green where it was promptly picked off. The Eagles D isn't exactly the Lions out there.

For what it's worth, after watching Seattle put up 35 on the Giants yesterday in the first half, I think one of the bigger questions three games into the season is "how did Detroit hold Seattle to 9 for the game?" three weeks ago? As for Vikings fans gnashing their teeth over yesterday's loss? Let's be serious, folks. The Vikings had a game HANDED to them by the Panthers, then promptly lost a game they should have won. They're right where they should be at 2-1. By the way, those uniforms are STILL hideous and I don't care what anyone says. It was awesome seeing the old-school Bears uniforms up against those XFL duds worn by the Vikings.

Quinnipiac Series - Two in Section 314 For Sale
MafiaMan replied to MafiaMan's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
SiouxSports.com works again! Tickets have been sold! -
I'd admittedly been hoping for a Gopher whoopin' on the Bison to shut up the green-and-yellow clad NDSU fans, but given the amount of smack-talk I've heard recently from co-workers, friends, and Gopher fans that I know who apparently don't know that UND and NDSU are not one and the same, I've changed my tune. Good luck to the Bison against the Gophers. I hope you not only upset U of small m, I hope you embarrass them in their own dome.

MafiaMan posted a topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
I'm looking to sell my two tickets in section 314 for this series. Cost is $35 per night or $70 for the two-game series. Drop me a PM or leave a note if interested. -
I have two tickets in section 314 that I'm suddenly looking to unload.

Cmon, DaveK, the Pack played the LIONS yesterday for crying out loud. Dan Pastorini could have suited up for Green Bay and thrown a TD pass against those clowns.

Anything that helps the exposure of D-1 hockey is a good deal.

Sorry, DaveK, but some of these statements are laughable. Favre's still one of the best QBs in the league? I can think of 10 QBs in the league at this point that I would take on my team over the Brett Favre of today. And you're kidding yourself if you think his supporting cast made him look bad by helping him toss 29 interceptions last year or the duck in the NFC playoff game a few years ago against the Eagles. People love to blame that game on the 4th down and 99 (27 or 30something I believe it was actually) to go for the first down that was converted, but the Packers were driving in OT when Favre threw an absolute quacker that was picked off. How about the game where he throws a TD although he's about five yards across the line of scrimmage, a play that resulted in the Pack settling for 3 instead of 7 when Favre needed about two steps to rush for the TD himself. I can still hear John Madden "Look at that Brett Favre...wow is he having fun!". Um, no, John, he just KILLED his team with that stupid mistake. Trust me on this...this is Brett's last year and he will never break Marino's TD record.

More importantly than Mike, Ed, or Jim, redwing77, what will our beloved team be like this year without #19?

I hesitate to say 'I told you so,' but, I told you so!

I bet it's a big deal to Army to play North Dakota, much like it was for Northeastern to play the Sioux in October of 2005 (2005-2006 season) and Canisius to play the Sioux in December of 2005 (2004-2005 season). While it's always a good thing to play Maine and BC, it's important for the growth of college hockey that schools like Holy Cross, Robert Morris, and Army have an opportunity to play giants like Boston U, North Dakota, and Michigan.

It is pretty ridiculous that this particular person equates the fun with swearing and not the actual hockey game. However, Kendall's quote would have been much funnier had it been something like this: "This is just total b*llsh*t and I am having my f***ing constitutional rights violated!"

The word would be 'referencing,' Slap Shot. Now go back to the gopher hole you crawled out of.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Lumping The Spice Girls and Poison along with The Victors? Diggler, you have lost your mind. Now if it was Minnesota...hats off to thee...I wouldn't have a problem with your analogy as long as you threw in Achy Breaky Heart and The Macarena.

You didn't pick up on that? Rick was layin' it on pretty thick!

Whoa...what exactly are you talkin' about there, Sicatoka?

Are you crying? Are you crying? There's no crying in D1. You know why? Because there's no crying in D1!

Well, duh, PCM. You know why that is, don't you? Because people like you and me were born white and male, we have "power" and can hold minority groups in their place. Myles Brand would visit you personally if you were Jesse Jackson and lodged a complaint about the Fighting Irish nickname.

I don't know if I'd lump George Mason in with Gonzaga at this point. Odds are, much like Harold "The Show" Arceneaux, Cleveland State, Murray State, Bryce Drew, and many other one-hit wonders of NCAA basketball's March Madness, Gonzaga has staked its claim as a team to be reckoned with year in and year out. I'm not sure I'd put George Mason in that category based on a cinderella run to the Final Four. However, GREAT point about upgrading the basketball program and that being more realistic than a run at D-1 football. I couldn't agree more.
