Well, with all due respect, SOME OF US in the group thought it would be unwise to stop for breakfast as we're used to the possibilities of what can happen on roads in big cities...
If the Sioux pull off a win Thursday, AZSIOUX is going to find some BC fans and ease their pain by taking a ticket or two off their hands...and I'll be making a last-second road trip!
Isn't Hrbosky's place right down the street from Don Denkinger's?
Did Jeff from Finley make the trip again this year? Anyone on the Sioux bus from Columbus in 2005?
Unlike 2005, though, I suggest not listening to the "traffic, what traffic?" segment of the bus that wanted to stop for breakfast instead of continuing on to Columbus. You don't want to miss the entire first period of the Maine/Michigan State game.
I know you are all wondering...no, I didn't make the bus today in GF, Fargo, Sioux Falls, or anywhere else. 99% chance though that if the Sioux win on Thursday, I'll figure out a way to get to St Louis by Saturday night.
Safe travels, everyone!
Yea...and knowing my camera-finding luck (cue video of last year's western regional), my boss will probably see me posing for the camera on ESPN Thursday night and think "hmmm...is Scott seeing a specialist in St Louis?".
Hmnn...I'd say 10 years, but go back to the time frame from about 1988-1996 and you'll find the Sioux weren't nearly on par with the Gophers record-wise.
You are correct, kvinbe. He also followed it up with another good line to David Spade, who was beside himself and almost in tears after seeing his car [team] destroyed.
"Sorry about your car [team]...man...that sucks..."
