I don't understand why you think the Red Wing style of hockey is so boring. This isn't the New Jersey Devils 1990's trap out there. They were down 3 games to 2 and had to win game 7 on the road in Anaheim. They deserve SOME credit, don't they? Detroit vs Chicago in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs? Two original six franchises duking it out in a 7 game series? Is this not why you are here?

The previous game wasn't listed but I found it on CNBC. Last night's game was not on CNBC. Doesn't help that Dish apparently doesn't update 'American Greed' to let folks know they are going to show Stanley Cup hockey instead. Hell, they even had Heat/Bulls listed last night...when it was actually Knicks/Pacers.

Stupid Dish Network...can't figure out how I got the Red Wings/Ducks last night but Penguins/Islanders not available on same channel tonight.

Word out of New York is that Charles Wang doesn't want to make any changes to Islanders jersey after move to Brooklyn. Problem is that arena management is urging a brand overhaul (a la New York Nets vs New Jersey Nets) because they don't like the idea of Islanders colors (which also happen to be New York Knicks colors) in the Barclays Center. It'll be a shame if the Islanders logo and jersey disappear from the NHL.

Umm...how about the trades for Leddy and the goalie-go-round in the past few years? Major role players from a few years ago were jettisoned almost immediately after the cup win (Big Buff, Kris Versteeg, etc.). This team is built around trades more than you think.

That's a reach. I'm pretty sure Indiana wouldn't want its high school basketball championships decided in Chicago (which is closer to folks in northern Indiana than Indianapolis is) and football fans in Oklahoma wouldn't exactly be fond of championship weekend being played in Dallas, TX.

And if you're the coach of a team that typically plays in front of 700 fans and you finish in the top 8, you'd be opposed to 2-3 more games at home? Doesn't add up... I think you might be suprised at the BIGGER schools who want to keep the regional format, not the smaller ones. Why would Minnesota want to risk traveling to Quinnipiac or Yale when they can host a regional in St Paul almost every year?
