  1. Yup, yup, and yup. Watching UND dump the puck in on the PP over and over and over again that game was simply maddening.
  2. Gotta disagree on that one and agree with SIOUXELEVENS immediate reply...40 SOGs but no real grade A scoring chances. Michigan controlled the tempo of that game from the get-go...and no adjustments were made at all.
  3. It could happen to any coach...and probably has.
  4. It's still pretty damn good!
  5. I wasn't disrespecting the job he did in net...but Ryan Miller hadn't done anything to lose the job, other than playing for a crappy Buffalo Sabres team.
  6. Hasn't won a natty in 13 years! Do you not like nattys or what, gfhockey?
  7. I knew there had to be a catch!
  8. 1 for 2 today, fs4l. Still batting .500 though... No true Sioux fan will forget the Dean Blais era, at least not those with any real knowledge of UND hockey history. 1988-1994 was simply tough to watch...but it was also didficult to figure out how to say good-bye to Gino Gasparini as head coach. It had to be done though. Tom Landry...Chuck Noll...Don Schula...those guys have a lot in common with Ron Mason, Jack Parker, and Gino himself. Do people choose to remember Gino in 1993 or 1994 when they bump into him? My guess is "no," they immediately think of 1980, 1982, and 1987. Same with Dean. Those 1997 and 2000 teams will always be something special. Always.
  9. Yep...and that Russia and the USA need to start the whole Olympic hockey process from scratch. I'll start with my own two cents: I mean no disrespect to Jonathan Quick, who played well in every game save for the one yesterday, but how in the world is 2010 national treasure Ryan Miller sitting on the bench for this tournament (yes,I know he played one game)?
  10. "We played together the whole time." We got better with each game and I think that was the most important thing." "...we all believed in one another..." Sidney Crosby comments.
  11. FS4L...I don't agree with you often...but when I do, it's with this post. Canada: "Hardest working team in the tournament. They came together with a purpose." USA: "We just kinda shut it down."
  12. Actually, it was $98 million...but I get what you're sayin'...
  13. Canada's too.
  14. Judging by the looks on the faces of Sweden's NHL-laden roster, it sure looks like this game was more important to them than the Stanley Cup.
  15. I'm not "mocking" Blais as all. A 3-1 lead with under 10:00 left in the 3rd period turned into a 5-3 loss in a hurry. It can happen...
  16. 3-0 Canada over Sweden. Oh Canada! Out home and native land...
  17. Coughed it up? 3 goals in just over a 3 minute span in the 3rd and a 4th with 40 seconds left. Ouch. That's practically Minnesota Vikings-esque!
  18. http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaab/eye-on-college-basketball/24395551/its-time-for-bill-walton-to-stop-slamming-ben-howland ...Bill Walton, I presume?
  19. I can also confirm that for being old enough to be beer grandma's grandma, YaneA is pretty hip with the Twitter following stuff. Get off her lawn, though, you whipper-snappers!
  20. Wow! Western scores at the 11:05, 12:22, 14:12, and 19:20 mark of the 3rd period to rally and defeat UNO. Ouch.
  21. Not a fan of Parise this weekend (I know, it's obvious), but he's not the first guy to leave somewhere for more money...or whatever reason, sheesh. See also: Shaquille O'Neal... Albert Pujols...Robinson Cano...Dwight Howard...Lebron James...Ilya Kovalchuk...Chris Chelios...Wayne Gretzky...Dr J...Mark Messier...Daniel Alfredsson...
  22. Selanne...lead by example. Finland's players would kill kittens for that guy. Toews...lead by example. See above. Parise..."they played like they had somethin' to win."
  23. How in bloody hell did Babcock lose that ''09 game 7 to Pittsburgh?
  24. sprig and Oxbow6...don't you two ever sleep in?
