Wait a second...so on one hand, DaveK is defending the diving of Pengiuns while the other hand is chastising the diving of Bruins? What a homer. BTW, the video clips are hilarious as is Claude Julien's calling out other teams.

Third time's a charm, NDH! I predict you pass this year!

I THINK you MISSED the hidden JOKE inside my POST. LOL.

FYI: FWIW, IDK if that would happen. IMHO.

Well, I guess we just found out what UNO will bring to the Target Center should they win this series...five more fans than Denver would have had. C'mon, Omaha, support your team!

Win with the sticker and stick with the winner, Wilbur!

Whoa whoa whoa, nodakvindy...this is the NCAA you're dealing with here - check common sense at the door, please.

Am I the only person seeing the irony of Notre Dame playing in Hockey EAST while hosting one of the two WEST regionals? Once again, we wouldn't want Boston College having to travel any further than Manchester NH or Providence RI.
-
Roger that.

1 and 1 but misses the 1st and hits the 2nd?
-
Agreed. SCSU would be wise to try to win the NCHC post-season crown and grab a #1 seed in Cincy...

Sat thru that one myself...5,000 fans...maybe.

And how would a Friday afternoon game involving the Gophers vs Denver or CC looked? 15,000 at best. I have PLENTY of Gopher friends who wouldn't bother using three to five hours of vacation time to see a 2:00pm Friday afternoon game. Luckily for them, they never had to bother filling out a vacation request form like I have had to do every spring to see their team play.
-
The 7:00 pm game-slot is all about being able to showcase your team to the Twin Cities TV market - in layman's terms, potential college recruits. Giving Minnesota the prime-time game under the guise of "boosting attendance" was a farce. How many high school kids were home skipping school watching those Friday afternoon games? None. For that reason alone, I think the #1 seed should have the prime-time slot - they earned it. I think its even MORE important now given that North Dakota (and one could argue, the entire NCHC) is out-of-sight-out-of-mind in the TC market entirely thanks to the B10 and the local media.
-
I would hope that the NCHC keeps the highest-remaining seed left after the 1st round in the Friday evening game - and that the so-called "Gopher rule" that many Sioux fans (myself included) have ridiculed over the years doesn't become the "Sioux rule," which UND fans suddenly defend.
-
Denver at UNO tomorrow night! Playoffs? You're talking about the playoffs?

Jim Roque is Laker hockey...really too bad he couldn't get things turned around in Sault Ste Marie. I hope they find the right man for the job and get that program back on the college hockey map soon.

Odds of both basketball teams dancing this year
MafiaMan replied to Risky's topic in Men's Basketball
As opposed to trying to defend the strength of the Big Sky Conference, justify a loss to a team on a 26 game losing streak, and claim that a .500 record is exactly where fans thought this team would be this season... -

Jim Nantz: "...and it's a final! The North Dakota State Bison are on their way to the Final Four after beating Duke 63-61! Unbelievable!" SiouxSports.com: "Wait a second...we beat NDSU! We're better!" -
Not a surprise...RPI upset at home in three games...cue the departures.

Great logic...so if Tampa Bay had been able to hold onto a 20+ point lead against the Seahawks this season, they could have had bragging rights as the better team. Riiiiiiight.
