    Looks like you're getting skewered over this post but I agree with a good portion of what you were trying to say. However, I used to get annoyed when every spring, I'd run into Gopher fans asking me "how was the trip?" - obviously most Gopher fans automatically assume everyone in a green jersey is from Grand Forks. Imagine their surprise when I would reply back with "pretty good - 494 to Highway 5 was fine and Shepard Road was a breeze." Lots of Twin Cities Sioux fans make the road trips to St Cloud and Duluth too (and formerly Mankato). I don't think of myself as being any different than a fan from Fargo or Grand Forks - Sioux fans DO travel.

    Remember, the face-off for Saturday's 3rd place game is 3:38 pm that afternoon - you can come and enjoy brunch from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm or 2:00 pm and EASILY have plenty of time to get to Target Center. In previous years, we have been a little rushed for a 2:00 pm 3rd place face-off in St Paul. More time to kick back and relax this year.

    Kinda figured that...I really don't see Minnesota or Ferris State losing their respective tournaments. Quinnipiac looks tough as well. Hockey East could be anybody's game.

    Uh oh...we're in trouble if this was the regional in Grand Rapids at Van Andel...that's only a 45 minute drive from Kalamazoo.

    The only reason this might bring some more Miami and Western Michigan fans is that this tournament isn't the CCHA-fest in Detroit. Perhaps because it's something new and different. I guess we'll find out on Friday, right? While not a fan of the Target Center itself, I do think keeping the tournament in the same location year after year will hopefully give it a feel like St Paul and the WCHA Final Five.
